I just wanted to know why it is called happy hard core and not just hardcore?

There's Happy Hardcore and Hardcore....two same genres cause they're
hardcore, but different cause one is happy and the other not.........Aghhhh, if you listen to
the two stuff you would know...it's really obvious.
I like the Bass to go BOOM!!!

UK Hardcore most of the time is classified as Happy Hardcore. But now since we got Canadian and US producers and even Japanese and Australian producers now, we can't just call it Japanese Hardcore or Canadian Hardcore, it's all Happy Hardcore, we're all united!!!!!!! That's why we all come here on the board to interactic with each other...ummm....ok, that's all I have to say.

Oldskool was originally called hardcore Happy Hardcore came about in probebly 93/94.

so Hardcore=Oldskool, and Happy Hardcore is just a sub-genre or off shoot of that??
I thought hardcore evolved when rave techno met jungle cuz you always 'ear a br3akbeat in dere somewhere................i dunno, i get confused when i try to trace the history of electronic music............

Happy Hardcore was created by Hardcore/4beat.
Acid house is at the very beginning.
