alot of the same music ;)
you'd need DJ/Producers ...
otherwise all the dj's would just be spinning the same stuff
i've noticed most ravers somehow think they should be a DJ
for no proper reason.. just cuz....
ok granted i'm some what of a wannabe myself...
but on the plus side... i have no intentions of buyign decks and running off to spin, i have intentions of... slowly making a collection, later on maybe getting some decks, and hanging out in the basement, and wasting my time playing with that instead of my computer for a while ;)
only small DJ aspirations
i want it for a passtime more than anything... i think it'd be fun, very good way to spend some time and mellow out

Have to agree with Annex with this one. So many people i talk to at parties that say oh ya i'm dj "fill in the blank." Then after u talk to them for a while u find out that they only have like 10 records or don;t even have turntables :P
I'm all for people getting tables and wanting to learn to mix and create music! hell i'd do it myself if i didn;t have to spend all my money on tuition fees. But point being, just cause you have some records and turn tables doesn;t mean yer a dj. Gotta have the skills, and those only come with practice and eventually experience of playing out at parties.
Btw anyone who is aspiring to become a future dj, I'm not trying to knock ya...practice practice practice and eventually u'll develope yuoer skills

im a practicing dj dont even have a dj name yet
and must admit most of my mixing is crap i get the odd spark of genius mixing and thats it.
im learning though.

I used to dj in this hall on friday nights from 9pm - 3am(u16's + over 16's), some people would ask for a go on the decks, I usually said no unless I knew them. There was this guy who came up on a bus one night and he brought his own gear with him in a rucksack and I let him set it all up. I was just about to let him take over when he said he'd left one of his cd players at home and was going to get it....... he lived 20 miles away!. He paid a taxi to take him on the 40 mile trip and came back nearly an hour later, I don't know if that makes him a dj but I think he deserves some respect for not giving up!
