It's a particular sound...
The one used in 'sunshine' by force and styles and 'follow the sun' by triple J.
Its kinda got a cute, snuggly sound to it, and when you try to make it with ur voice, it kinda like makes your voice go really funny, ha ha.
You must know the one i mean, in follow the sun, as soon as she says "we will find our waaaayyy..." its on the "waaayyy" bit that it kicks in. Can anybody find me the sample, or tell me a vsti that has it preset, or help me make it in any vsi...i have my sources to get them

ive never heard the track, but if i can find a snippet of the bit u want, i can prolly show you how to make it, or make it for you on the JP sample it then send it to you.
do u know where i can download the track from?
is the sound filtered at all??
coz if it is, ill have to go thru the wav and clean it about to get to the base of it.
once u can figure out the basic waveform core shape , its easy to recreate any sound.
umm...
what VSTi's do u have?
Ill see if i can make a preset for ya or something...
btw im a synth nut, and this would be a great lil self challenge :)

ok ill rip you a bit out in mixmeister (yes that cheap thing, itll do the job i guess.)
Will it be ok if i send in in email, say 7 secs of each track in about 96kbps mp3? I need your addy too lol :D
I can get close enough any vsti i want. If you can make it in juno x2 thatd be great. Ta mate...

i can do my best :)
i just need maybe 15 seconds of the instrument itself.
Once i can figure out the abse of teh sound, that would then determine the synth thats being used (coz a korg squ sounds different to a roland squ)
either way, im sure if we cant get the exact sound, we can get clseo to it :)
oh just send teh mp3 to [email protected] and ill see what i can do :)

i got ur mail and im checkin it tonight (at work now) ill start on it tonight.
backing is fine, if i need more of a reference ill let u know :)
should be ok though, i got millions of sound sets here, im sure ill find something or be able to make something close enough to it.

I made these ones jsut now, i havent had a chance to go into my sound folders tonight.
Lemme know if these are ok, if not, i prolly have some multisamples of somehting similar.
gotta find em thou. :(
that first track on that mp3 was actually sounds like a pad sound sampled and tightened up into a lead. You can hear the envelope attack and almost zero filter and lack of actual change or velocity movement in the sound (which is what makes me think its a sample).. I could be wrong, and knowing me i prolly am... :)
I threw afew variations of it in the zips :)
with the ones on x2, for a warmer sound get rid of the sub osc, it'll smooth things out, and get rid of that harsh buz.
also with the filters, lower the resonance if u want more warmth, and change the filter type as you go along in the track, to get one that will fit into the mood of the track (some filters just dont blend well)... the notch filter sounds nice and clean when you run a thick synth thru it.
umm.. thats about it really, i also threw in afew others i made, like some basses and lead pizzicato type sounds (like the one in sunshine)
