This has me rather baffled. When I plug my headphones in, the left/right channels are reversed (right is left, left is right). But when coming out of the speakers it's fine.
My headphones are ATH-M50s. My speaker system is a Logitech X-540 (yes, I know, unprofessional). My sound card is an M-Audio Delta 1010LT.
I have the speakers hooked up to the sound card via a Y adapter like this. It works fine, for the speakers anyway. To use the headphones I plug them into the X-540's console (you can see the 3.5" socket)
Any ideas? It certainly won't be good for production (not to mention it messes me up in some games).

That's impossible with ATH-M50s. They don't fit around your head right the wrong way round. Besides, They have very clear "L" and "R" marks on each side. Here's an image.

When I plug them in the other way around, the problem goes to the speakers. The headphones' R/L channels are correct but now the speakers' channels are flipped.

The left channel is the speaker on the left when you face them.... make sure your left is really your left :)
