That’s pretty irrelevant. He said that should show you that they have enough power for scratching… Which it proves quite nicely IMO.
At the end of the day any of the top decks are fine for mixing on. Personally I’d go with Technics every time though because they’re built well and hold well. A good, solid, no nonsense deck.
I can tell you know other decks don't hold as well. Have tested it extensively with my mates. I can mix fine on them but they always need more corrections.

Exactly.
I can mix on anything, including the shittiest belt drives ever, but ill be correcting a lot more. Technics require the least correction, by far, imo.
I mean, come on triq, you know audio warfare and I play out all the time, and I can mix on 4 supposedly 'inferior' tech12s at once so I think I'm skilled enough to pass judgement on turntables.
Neither of us are saying numark and Stanton are utter garbage, just that 12s are the best. Ridiculous amounts of torque don't make you a good scratch DJ - you're making yourself sound like the noobs that think effects like the flanger suddenly mean they can mix.
I know you've got talent too, but your arguments are kinda ridiculous.

i said nothing about torque
i've said nothing about 12's being inferior...
ive said, that my X1's are still going after 7 years, country moves and a full glass of champaign, and ive also said that there are a stupid amount of amateur and professional DJs out there that are happy with their turntables that arent technics...
the only argument ive put forward is that X1's are just as good, and so are most of the top end models of other
again..why you said anything about me thinking i need xx amount of torque to be a good scratch DJ i have no idea.
all i said is that its much more fun scratching on X1's than 1210's they just feel nicer - seeing as you inserted some opinion about faders on X1's i thought i would give an opinion on scratching on X1's..
nobody's said that you dont have the right to pass judgement on decks. unless that was some sort of battlecry? ;) in which case
i can mix on 4 decks and scratch on the 5th one...whilst having sex with a goat :)
still none of this helps Atomsk at all.

The argument was never that 12 were inferior or that the more torque the better. As a matter of fact, I clearly remember saying that most djs would agree that the slipmat matters more than the torque, so it should not be a deal breaker. The whole reason of bringing that up was to show that there are other turntables out there that can contend against Technics.
The only argument here was that Technics is NOT the only top model turntable on the market, and that there are cheaper alternatives that can be as much as half the price and still have the same value.
