I heard Gemini is okay if you're starting out, so I thought I might as well get one of the better ones, and I think I'll be buying the CS-02 soon. Now if there's anyone who can tell me reasons why I should definately NOT get this mixer, please tell me. I only found one review trashing it, but it was a DJ with 35 years of experience....

if you're just starting out I personally would recommend starting out on a battle mixer/2 channel than a club mixer.
learn the basics and get a grasp of what you want out of you're equipment before you go spending $300 on cheap end club mixer. sure having all the extra options is nice but chances are they 1) aren't going to be good on a mixer that cheap & 2) are going to be a distraction starting out and most new djs over use them and make their mixes sound annoying. "ooo look what I can do on my mixer even though my mix transitions sound like two shoes in a dryer"
save yourself a $100 or so and spend it on tunes instead.

I'm not allowed to say how I get tunes on this forum. Anyways, I understand how annoying people who overuse their effects and stuff are, I'm not like that.

Anyways I changed my mind about the CS-02 and I'm going to go with the Stanton M.201 2-Channel Mixer. I realized that since I happy doing no effects on VDJ, why would it matter with a real mixer? Plus I'm saving myself a good $200, which I'll be splitting towards the cost of my turntables (no I'm not only spending 100 on each :p)

I started out with a Stanton mixer too :) The SMX202, very simple 2 chan mixer, but it's good enough for learning. Now I've got a Reloop RMX-40, so many more knobs and buttons :p
