holy crap - in sweden you have to pay a tv license just for owning a tv! that sucks more than our situation!! lol
you only have to pay for a tv license if you use the tv to receive live broadcasts over here

Same here, thats why i dont have a TV, i save 200e/year. Though thanks to our shit government, their changing it to a "media fee", so i have to pay even if i don't have a TV :(
So the point in that "viral" commercial is, that you add your own picture, and you're the "hero" that has provided the "unbiased" media by paying the broadcasting fee.

blooooody hell
im massively against the tv license fee over here - though i do pay it (im still legal!) but the only reason is because the wife uses the box to watch programs and doesnt want to switch to the Wii, like my brother has
ive asked her to think about it, we would save 140 a year! thats like...a huge bundle of vinyl off ebay!!

yes (legally speaking) - you could just of course ignore it and "run the risk" of them coming a knocking..
