In VirtualDJ it's actually possible to hold down a button (I don't remember which, I need to reinstall it eventually) and the track will automatically sync up to the other which is just blatant cheating. There are a bunch of other shortcuts in it too.

I have no idea why I want to be such a DJ purist... even though I don't even have a record player now ;_;


On topic though I imagine annoying noise genres like speedcore are easier than they sound. I mean, speedcore still has the 4/4 (or 3/4) pattern, just at some insane unlistenable tempo.

I bet I need less time to beatmatch a track with my ears than the guy who has to look all over the screen for the sync button!
