Ionosphere certainly have some macs in their collection. Too expensive for my liking and definitely not the way to go if you like to play games. :D

Many people have prejudices though. Especially in primitive countries like Croatia (here everything animated is considered to be for children, and amongst teenagers Hentai is popular).
Anime stuff are various japanese shows and series, even movies. Some are recommended for adults (not referring to porn), some for teenagers, and some for kids (Pokemon aka commercial crap...). Quality of the anime depends about anime itself. It's the same as asking "why do so many people like movies?" 
EDIT: There are also pieces of Japanese culture (eventhough some are 0% of it), and Japan is the most advanced country in the world (and America and Russia are the most powerful),
EDIT 2: And J-Core is mostly inspired by anime.

All the anime girls I see are normally kids or schoolgirls :
Maybe I'm very naive about it. Apart from pokemon as a kid, Ive never really watched it. There was the afro ninja thing though, i watched that cos that was badasssss

They were teenage anime with schoolgirls. You should seek for some with gruwn-up girls if you prefer that.
And very most of HQ anime pictures are with teen girls.
Lol, some anime were made to be turn-ons. But I re-analysed myself and changed the order just moment before you repled:
1. Good Plot (comedic or dark+dramatic+romantic - I only like action MOVIES, not shows)
2. Cute Girls (always welcome if you're a straight dude).
EDIT: Pokemon can be fun if there's nothing interesting on the TV. But spending much time on it... Worthless. At least IMO, no offence to anyone!

i find it a bit disturbing when ppl mention how much they like anime b/c of the girls. they always come off as very sexual, yet the characters are supposed to be of teenage age.

Always sexual? If you're referring to anime girl characters, then that is a nonsense.
You can mostly find sexual stuff in Ecchi (little or moderately perverted comedy) and some romance (more in romance recommended for adults). If you don't want sexual stuff, there are a plenty of non-sexual anime.
EDIT: World is all about porn nowadays, thus many kids watch perverted anime. That's why so many people think most of the anime are dirty, but that's prejudice.
