Jokes on them! megaupload is prob one of the biggest filesharing sites that are used to send their songs around illegally!

They don't give a damn dude. as long as copyright holders dont complain and people buy premium accounts, theyre ok with it. Unlike Hotfile that is pretty sensitive about copyrighted material.

You know whats ironic?
The record labels of those artists took down that original video claiming copyright infringement.
They said the artists appeard in the ad without the artists consent.

'Universal recently got YouTube to take down a video made by MegaUpload, which featured a number of recording artists who got together to assemble a song supporting the site, which Universal has previously gone after. Despite owning ALL the rights to the song, all Universal had to do was complain and without question, the song was banished. '

well supposedly an artist fron New Zealand was asked to sing, but they changed it to Macy Gray instead (Macy is more famous too!)
or that Wil I Am's lawyer sent a takedown notice

Music has got even worse. This is why I don't pay any attention to the charts or watch the music channel as it's always sh*t like this. Oh well I guess it's personal opinion. Unfortunately I've heard worse though. I bet rival sites like Rapidshare don't like it.

Heres a short summary for those of you not in the USA:
Government censorship bill, will allow
1. Anyone to go to jail for uploading anything copyrighted in any way
2. Sites like Youtube, 4chan, PirateBay to be blocked by the government
3. Ability to take down any website with no trial or investgation
4. American sites will have to review every single piece of material they upload
It's basically just a hollywood moneymaker, it will turn the USA internet into China.
