I think he means tracks that have ripped off ideas, melodies etc. rather than straight remixes or covers.
Well yeah, or those which have intentionally done so without recognising it's precursor.
I think we all know that Barbie Girl is a remix from the one which Aqua (had to google that) originally did.

Jesus, the tiny digi-labels stole loads of tracks.
Not naming any, because they can get arsey about it.
Adele was subject to a bit of bootlegging though.
yeah - anything past 2006 and you really might as well just say "Was it a top40 hit? Yes! Is there a hardcore remix? Yes, yes there are several." hehe
Smaller "labels" or producers shouldn't get arsey about it - if they don't want it attributed to them they either shouldn't have put their name on it ("anon" works well!) or they shouldn't have done it in the first place.

Lol yeah how can you get arsey about something you chose to do?

Does SHM - Pupu Guinea Pig (Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea) qualify?
There's also Fade Feat. Kelly - Rush Hourz (Jane Wiedlin - Rush Hour). There used to be a clip of it on Youtube but I can't find it now.
One more for the count:
(Alexia - Number One)
I really like the first two I mentioned, but Crazy Love has never been my cup of tea. I don't know what to say, it just feels dull.
Edit: Should probably mention I'm not a fan of hardcore covers of popular songs in general. To me most feel like a product of the bandwagon, instead of being able to stand up on their own as well as show appreciation for the original. It's even worse if the cover follows the "verse/pre-chorus from the original before dropping into a minimal beat and bass with squelchy fart noises" formula (credit to DjDMS for "squelchy fart noises").
Edit edit: If you've done a hardcore cover of something don't feel insulted. I probably haven't heard it!
