The album has just landed on my doorstep, And im sure most of you have either woken up to it, or dashed to the shops to get it.... But whats your verdict on it?
Heres mine...
(Styles)Darren's mix is a bit out of place, They'l be a really good Hardcore track, Then it will skip straight to dubstep/hardstyle without being mixed in properly... Lazy way of mixing.
(Breeze)Mark's mix is just X-Treme Dubcore, Not one Hardcore track in site.....
(Hixxy) Ian's mix has a few great new tracks on it, Quite impressed with this one
(Gammer) Matt's mix is very impressive and is a great addition to the series.
So there you have it, CD3 is the one for me :)
How about you?

While your thread is about opinions my thread is more likely sarcastic.

My verdict based off the digital release, which means unmixed edits, I don't care what's on whose mix:
Best CXH since CXH1. Darren Styles & Gammer are taking it to the next level. Some fantastic work by Modulate etc. also.
Concrete Angel remix, Paranoia, We Killed The Rave (HTOTY Edit), Missing remix, Dagger, Never Forget, Nostalgia, the list goes on...

Just finished the Style mix. Enjoyed it. Surprised people are talking about DnB and Dubstep. The only Dubstep on there was the Save Me remix (which I could have done without), and the only DnB was perhaps the Unstopabble remix, though you could argue that that was Breakbeat Hardcore I think. The only stinkers I thought were Don't Leave Me and the Forever Loved remix, maybe the Find Yourself mashup too. Never Forget, Concrete Angels, The One, Forever, The Raver, Don't Give Up and Bye Bye on the other hand are all going to get caned by me!

I'll do a proper assessment thingy when I actually buy it and listen properly, but going on the clips I've heard on TID - I've probably heard about 60% of the clips - it is sounding infinitely better than last year's. For a start, the biggest thing that they've done - and it was an obvious thing to do - is to just get 95% of all the controversial stuff on to it's own disc. So if you don't like it, you can largely just ignore the thing entirely.
The Gammer, Styles, Dougal, Michael Scout et al tracks are just sounding super positive. Really, really pleased.
Well done Clubland - you've done alright there :-)

Nah mate, not really. Well you could - but they don't have anything like conventional intros and outros.
It's not marketed as DJ Friendly anyway, in their defence.

Yeah man, I'm definitely gonna get it. Dunno whether to go for the digital copy or the actual CD, though.

I've listened to all the previews and to be honest, apart from concrete angel, sober and Turniup (which i wish had a stronger bassline) the whole album is a pile of shite especially the literally 40-50% that is not hardcore. The saving grace is that it isn't as bad as #8 but as far as i'm concerned, after the disk breeze put out on what is supposed to be a hardcore showcase (ie no hardcore present), the guy has no right to call himself a hardcore producer/dj anymore and simply should not be involved in the scene at all.
The scarier thing is this futureworld nonsense which could pretty much wipe out the rest of the scene before too long because these guys clearly don't give a crap anymore when they just spunk out this utter drivel. I really wanted to like it and hoped against all the odds that they may have surprised me but they haven't.
BY far the funniest thing about the whole situation is the way that I'll punch the next person who calls it dubstep gammer actually just went the whole hog and also put in dubstep. When Hardcore underground 5 came out i was VERY critical of what Fracus and Darwin were doing and now i realise that i owe them a huge apology because it is nothing compared to what the mainstream are doing right now.
I give it a generous 2/10 score.
