Am i right in thinking that musical loops and not necessarilly perc loops etc shoukd contain full spectrum of frequencies. The reason for me asking is because on a few recent hardcore tracks they start the 12" mix off with a closed hat and perc loop with a high off beat synth sound in the bass place. Im assuming this becomes the mid-hi layer of the bassline. But then when bassline comes in after 1 or 2 frames the sub layer etc is added bith big drops etc. and then when the hookline kicks in the bassline seems to have lost its higher layer in favour of higher layer if the hook line.
Question is, if the bassline is bounced off is it bounced with sub, low, mid and hi layers and then eq to tasto or to fit the track or are they bounced seperate. Also is this the same with all musical loops.

It's entirely up to you man, personally I don't bounce anything anyway. If you wanted to create the same effect with the bass for example you could always bounce all layers and then automate a high pass filter. It doesn't really matter though, there are many ways to do most things in music production and anything goes if it gets the results you want.
