http://www.kniteforcerevolution.com/posts/5-things-the-hardcore-scene-needs-to-learn-in-2015/ Go pay a visit to the most logical post out there. I've been saying a few of these things for a while, but no one's scaled the spectrum quite like Chris. He's been without a label or motivation to the pinnacle of the US charts darting around the BBC Studios on a skateboard. He's ridiculously underrated in Hardcore today, but one of the few who makes any sense. Though I have to disagree with his statement about Rhythmics. Hardcore doesn't need the original Rhythmics let alone one or two more xD

Great read, especially Part 1. Some of the top names really need to take that part onboard. Really experiment with their ideas & offer something that's a bit "out there". Who cares if it doesn't go down well with the fan boys & girls. They wont completely stop dick sucking just because of a failed attempt at something new.

Some great points, there is still a lot of new talented producers doing exciting things in Hardcore. Which makes me think there is a bright future.

Luna-C is a wise man. I've read a lot of very sensible stuff on his blog.
I hope the new action plan for 2015 works out for him!

Zero percent of that is going to happen.
Hardcore is a fcuking business. Any music scene is - be it small, be it large, be it professionally run, be it - largely - embarrassingly run. The guys that are pulling in five-hundred notes an hour three times a weekend do not give two shits about letting DJ Scotty Chav Tits get some exposure.
Until the boys that fall into that category (Gams, Dougs, Styles, Brown etc) - until they retire or literally die, absolutely nothing will or can change.
And when they do retire - there's a fair fcuking chance the Hardcore movement will go with them.
An interesting post from Luna-C, none-the-less.
Any kind of vaguely intellectual conversation or scene-analysis like Chris is trying to instigate/provoke/promote is so many millions of miles away from the thoughts of the average raver or lower-level promotors and DJs it's unreal. Ravers just want to munch pills and go and see Hixxy every weekend. It really is as simple as that.

Sad but true. Though you can't fault his idealism and the fact that he's fundamentally right about what should be done.

Yea, who would want to be in this dump unless the top tier starts opening up for the 1-4 first points in his post

I think it happened about 2006/2007 and when quosh did a disk with just their material on Euphoria hardcore with compilations just becoming label showcases which is a bit of a shame.

hardcore isn't what it used to be id say about 2008-9 onwards it started going downhill(for me anyway,07 and before is the sweet spot for me)
theres good tracks still being made dont get me wrong but the sounds quite different, not like the older stuff you know the original hardcore, the piano's the synths and melodies with the kick ass vocals and beats more originality and love for the music.
i mix mostly stuff from 2003-8 with a few newer tracks here and there as i come across ones i like which is becoming less frequent these days, dont really listen to the big names anymore apart from the classics you know(na na na,let it go,i adore, freedom etc that type of stuff)
i also think commercialism and things becoming mainstream kill stuff,i would love for hardcore the get more publicity and be bigger movement but if it gets too big and commercial it will kill it as it does everything imo, plus part of the movement is its different its unique that undergroud-ness is partly what makes the scene though?.
but yeah he makes complete sense pretty much.
cheers.
