where is it?
has the scene ever been this dead?
seriously barely any new uk hardcore coming out it seems like :/
havent even had a headliner out on the west coast in usa at large since HTID....
i see tons of raves in the uk with hardcore & headliners though; are they just playing classics?

HU just released DJ Tools 3 tail end of last year, along with Happy Hardcore Underground. There's HU7, an Al Storm album, and DJ Tools 4 all waiting in the wings.

Lethal Theory released Hardcore Innovators 2, and have This is Powerstomp 2 out in a fortnight. That's essentially 60 tracks, right there. Obie has his "X" album nearly wrapped up, and there's another Lethal Theory Raw release.

TWR are releasing regularly on beatport, as is Scott Brown.

It's not exactly the most active ever, but we're holding stuff back for HU7 and the start of the year is typically very quiet for releases.

There's some stuff on the new podcast, go check that out and hold tight for a wild ride through '15

no doubt; if HU was not doing work there would be an almost flatline of hardcore being released.
to be honest lethal theory is focusing on powerstomp almost exclusively currently it feels like;
and i mostly cannot take anything the gammer crew does seriously.
love how scott brown is handling old & new tunes though; will always look forward to his tracks
i see JTS & the aussie crew are doing some good sounding stuff as well.

just seems at large it is so slow. :(
i listen to alot of other genres and there are substantially sooo many more releases;
feels like i am waiting forever for new uk hardcore; and uk hardcore that actually sounds like uk hardcore; or a solid mix that doesnt jump all over the place with unmatched styles.

only been listening to hardcore for a bit over 7 years and surely there was tons more labels tons more hardcore and tons more new music at that point? can't honestly help but feel it is mildly stagnating. shows atleast are probably are more optimistic in the uk though; still much more hardcore :p

i guess for my favorite genre of music i just crave more than is currently being dealt with lol .thank god for HU and the people holdin it together..defo look forward to 2015 though!

The delivery methods are a bit scattered, and there's a lot of good stuff already in the pot.

Chin up; I'm optimistic and yet as reliant on the resultant stew being edible as any

HU7 being released in a timely fashion followed by decent opportunity to get much of the content unmixed within a reasonable time frame would be good.

Waiting years and years for releases (or even not getting tracks at all) is absolutely scandalous - and soooooooo 2003!

There has been a massive amount of good quality hardcore released this last couple of years when compared to 2012 you just have to really hunt for it.

We are not talking about people living in a bubble.

Where possible, we try to get internal stuff from the comps out as soon as possible via DJ tools. Sometimes, as with "Filth & Dumb Hatred", "Material" etc they end up held back a bit longer than is perhaps optimal but we're really, really, trying

Oh I know that, and you're far less guilty than many. But the list of stuff I want unmixed continues to grow with every release

Which isn't something we intend to do again.

Do bear in mind in those three years we had to build a web store, set up a direct sale infrastructure, deal with HMV going under, Brisk moved to Australia.

Hardly ideal

Fabulous spot, Matt. Even I didn't notice that one.

Clearly out of practice.
