I'm gay and I don't smoke weed, but I agree with Olly on this one. Weed is perfectly legal there so you might as well try it! And although I would never rent anyone at the red light district I sure as hell will visit the area! There's no point in traveling to a place and not immerse yourself with that place's culture.

I've been four times. Most recently in July 2014. I barely made it back the last time. Amsterdam's vibe just encourages craziness. One of the best places in the world to walk around with your best pals absolutely off your bonce on a cocktail of unspeakables.

I went in 2013, ending a trip to Europe with it, and found to be really nice. Crossing streets is kind of a hassle, but everyone there is really sweet to you! I hope you like it!

I just opened a brothel and it played Hardcore, something different I guess but I was told by Dutch football fans that Rotterdam Hardcore is not welcome in Amsterdam, might just be a Dutch thing that goes back to the early 90s?
