I will start off this topic by posting links to Audio Warfare and Guest's Fallout and Doom threads

And here's my thought of it all
The Games
Doom 4: Well I am a sucker for id games, so it's highly likely I will get the 4th game aswell. But I wouldn't mind seeing a Quake 5 instead.
Fallout 4: Doesn't say much to me. give me a skyrim game with adult mods anytime :P
Nier 2: The first game was fairly ok. I prefed it to Drakengard 2 (an other series that is connected to Nier), and if the soundtrack is as good as the first game, I will gladly spend 70 usd :P
FF7 remake: Just one thing I wanna say. Do you want to se Aerith die in HD ? :P
Shenmue 3: Am I the only one who thinks this series is overrated. Well the sales where lackluster, but I also like games that people hate (kinda like Metroid Other M).
Dishonored 2: Should I go stealth/good or slaughter everyone/chaos? :o
Dark Souls 3: Prepare to DIE!
The Companies
Nintendo: Do you want to be hated Big N? No real Zelda game shown, no real METROID game shown either. And for the love of god, who buys those Zelda 4sword games? :(
Microsoft: Finally a company that tries to do backward compability, but the lackluster list of games currently supported kinda shows that it's far from ready. Only games listed are release games or download/indies. And that borderland demo was probably just run on a PC/Xbox360 :P
If I haven't mentioned anything here, I can't say I care much for it then.

Transformers: Devastation
Lets see here
Transfomers? check!
Fighting game? check!
Activision? ugh... check.
Generation 1 robots? check... wait what?
CGI style based on the 90's anime? *drool* check.
Platinum games? ...me gusta. I need a new pair of underpants.
And yes, the first series where anime (just cheaper and more westernized)

Chronicles X doesn't seem to draw the japanese's interest

Yeah Wii U presentation wasn't that strong. I still want Yoshi's WW, Devil's Third, Mario Maker, Starfox Zero, Xenoblade Chronicles and Project Zero this year though. Have you been playing Splatoon? Game is amazing, I'm addicted to that at the moment.
Played the last Anno a lot too, though not to eager to use Origin again. Xenoblade Chronicles was another title for Wii U that been looking forward to. Never really liked the look of Splatoon though, so haven't played it.
Disappointed that Destiny still hasn't got a PC version. Been wanting to play an MMO type of game but nothing really looks good enough. There is that Tom Clancy one coming up, and a couple of fantasy ones + of course Star Citizen next year (hopefully).

Has Nintendo ever released a new Zelda with the launch of a new console, or at least within a few weeks of the release of a new console (handheld not included)?
That's been like the biggest issue with them and the reason I've stop bothering with Nintendo.

We'll probably get a Wii U around christmas I think, a second hand one. Oliver has been banging on about playing the new Mario game.
Honestly I wish they had made the wii fully HD, that really bothers me.
WiiU would be perfect if it weren't for the fact they removed the gamecube controller ports and compatibility with GC games; that really really bothers me.

Annoying that the controller screen isnt HD, i actually use it as the primary screen to play.

They did release Twilight Princess as a release game for Wii, evne tho it was supposted to be out on Gamecube 9 months earlier (which got postponed to the month before the Wii release)
Triq: the GC was removed prior to Wii U. The last version of Wii didn't have them (but can still read the disc if you have jailbroken the console) :(

Yeah, our neighbour was complaining about that because they have a new wii - whereas we have an oorrrrrriginal wii.
I've been reading that the hdmi cable doesn't really improve matters if you're already using composite cables, so I might as well still hold off until christmas to surprise the boys and get a cheep second hand wii u.
