Billy Daniel Bunter announced that he'd be bringing out a DJ Sy album, following on from the previous Slipmatt, Bunter, Dougal, Whizzkid CDs. The info was released in a periscope live stream, there's a recording of it somewhere but I've lost it now but the jist of it is that Bunter was wearing some sunglasses with flashing LEDs, said 'bibbidydiddlybibbidy' for about 5 minutes, 5 minutes of shoutouts and then the news that he'd be bringing out a 2CD album mixed by Sy on 1210's, CD one being 92-94 old skool and the second CD being 'breakbeat happy hardcore'
I'm looking forward to it, hopefully it'll be signed like the others. I was a bit reluctant based on the website looking a bit ropey but the Dougal one is a really nice package so I will definitely be purchasing this when it becomes available.

Just hope it's not the obvious anthems! If it is I'll skip it but would be very interested if it has some lesser known tracks.

I'm really getting back into the early hardcore/rave sound at the minute, hope this will be as good as I'm hoping for.

I guess this will be a CD i will have to ignore completly. There is like nothing between 1993 and 1996 i like, except the tracks like Shooting Star and maybe Eyeopener, but I dont think this would contain those tracks.
But then I know that MM and Can You Feel It is more towards the rave breaks stuff

Christ, listening to a pissed up Bunter's inane rambling for five minutes was interminable. It's never a bad thing when albums like this are released but like someone said, I hope it's not all the obvious anthems we've had on every old skool album ever. More looking forward to the happy hardcore one, you don't get so many from that particular era, but again I just hope it's not the same ones that do appear on them. I love Take Me Away, In Complete Darkness, SMD, In Effect, 6 Days and the rest, of course, but I hope there's some alternatives tunes of the day on there.
Unmixed download option would be nice too.

yes, always has done. considering all the early happy hardcore was breakbeat its hardly surprising

Sy & Unkown did some really good breakbeat stuff back in the day.
FYI Hardcore Breaks is something totally different.

Hardcore breaks is similar in style and tempo to the early 90's hardcore sound (before it sped up and split into Hardcore and jungle)

got some toons that are hardcore tracks ( breaks mix)
they must be referring to (hardcore) breaks
sounds just like the tracks that say "breakbeat" remix honestly
so i figured its ok to just interchange lol ;p
but i see where you guys are coming from

Oh this is cool! I have purchased the slipmatt, dougal and bunter albums this year, and they have been absolutely quality!
Especially as I haven't really heard much of SY's 90's stuff before... Im quite a newbie when it comes to old school hardcore really.
I brought the 'hardcore the classics album' back in 2009 that ministry of sound did, but that was all until the vinylgroover mix on the supersonik hardcore album last year.
So im really loving the Music Mondays releases at the moment! Its great to hear all this old stuff! I need the Whizzkid CD as well really!
I agree unmixed tunes would be nice as well

Oh would be very intrested in this indeed! was actually thinking a while back that bunter might release a 25 years of sy cd, as he has been releasing a few of them recently, even though I think sy has been dj'ing 26 years but will like to see the tracklist
