I was just wondering if anyone knew which genre of music of music was born first out of hardcore, trance & hard house? as hard house to me sounds like slowed down hardcore and trance sounds like slowed down hardcore and just with a pop type of feel to it and a really crappy beat that you can't even feel.

happy hardcore spawned off of break beat hardcore in the earlier 90s but wasn't really noted as its own distinct genre till about 93, though if u listen to stuff from b4 then its pretty much happy hardcore.
Hard House is acctually spawned off of happy hardcore to an extent and came about a fair bit l8er.
I dunno much about the origins of trance really other than it is derived from house music...

Acid House to Rave then
Rave= Hardcore = Old Skool = Nu Skool = Happy Hardcore + UK Hardcore
House = Garage + Hard House + Handbag + Progressive +Funky
Techno = Gabba + Trance + Fungle = Speedcore + Deathcore
Jungle = Hardstep + D&B + Breakbeat
Other cross-overs between styles are Freeform, Baleric, Trancecore, Nu Garage, Big Beat, Uplifting House, Goa and Leftfield.
Think I covered a history fairly quickly and correctly.
