2003 was a good year. I got into hardcore that year. But I was only 12 so a majority of memories are skateboarding.

I was 20/21 in that year, still buying stacks of hardcore vinyl and CDs. I was with a girl that was happy with at the time, but in hindsight we were better off without each other, barely anything in common, least of all music. (crushed me when we broke up that year though).
loved these cd's and dvds. watched the sy and styles one loads of times
Excellent, excellent albums! These gave me light through the hardcore dark ages. The resulting Hardcore Heavens that followed were superb.
The Kevin Energy mixes alone were such an inspiration to me. They made me realise that hardcore as a genre had the creative legs to last the next few decades :)
Lets hear it for the HH albums old & new! Their input to the scene is second only to Bonkers.

Yes I agree with that, the 2005/2006 Hardcore Heavens where almost a revival for Bonkers at the time, sadly their never reached a 5th version in that series. I can remember buying the Sy, Brisk and Kevin Energy one from Asda in February 2005 and two weeks later there was another rival, Hardcore Nation (Seduction, St Allen and Robbie Long) which was then replaced y another series which was poor in comparison

Funny thing was I hadn't quite stepped into the Hardcore side of things at the time. I was into a lot of 'Hard Dance' basically the harder sides of House and Trance but I was aware there was even better stuff out there. If anything, this was the only Hardcore tune I had heard on the radio at the time, and of course everyone knew the other versions:
