So I just made a post on FB, asking whoever might reply what mixes of mine that they like. I don't mind discussion about why they might "suck", but I was thinking of making a list of "essential mixes that showcase my trackselection" and maybe good mixing skills *cough* :P

So, after a few months of being bored (or lazy, depending on how you see it... I will try to make a new mix soon :P), I've been listening to my older mixes, and I was thinking, what 5 mixes could be the "Essential Samination"?

And you? What are your favorite mix(es) by me? Please do leave a comment on what of my mixes you like the most!

I also replied to it myself, and selected a few of the mixes I personally like and consider showcasing my likings

Considering I made the mixes, it would maybe look like I am selecting my most favorite children. But I have to be self-critical and say that some sounds like pure misstakes :P

Selecting 5 mixes spanning 12 years of making them isn't a easy task. Back when I made them I liked them alot, but just like my ages, I grow older and look at stuff differently. So I will select more than 5 because of that, and hopefully it still reflects all the Hardcore that I loved and still love.

(in chronological order, from newest to oldest):

http://samination.se/mix/16/Mix16-Angels&Exaltations
http://samination.se/mix/8/Mix08-SummersOut
http://samination.se/mix/5/Mix05-MissionDegree1

There's that. Some are selected because I did a good work on the mixes. Some are selected purely based on the tracklist (Mix 05 sounds horrible to me now, but considering it's a remake of my first few mixes and and I really loved the tracks back then, I still consider it an important mix to me).

Do you guys have any opionion? You might have not listened much to me, but you could always check out the tracklist and see what tracks I like or used liked.

Mix60 is great, been listening it the couple past days. Though don't know why you added the tune at 39 min, it sounds like a 90's pop song. Mix42 is also good, haven't heard the others.

Haha, I have to tell Sharkey that.
Well, considering Sharkey's Product of Society is from 1996-98, pop it could be :P
