wats the deal with cops monitoring people who are driving home post event? i've heard it's going to be swarming with police (since the tragedy of happyvalley) but many of my friends are reluctant to go due to wanting to drive there, and being worried they're gonna be tested (or whatever) leaving..

Well they have nothing to worry about if they haven't taken anything  .
After all if there gonna drive there, and they know they are driving back it is there responsability not to take anything that could harm there reactions...whilst driving.

Yeah police will be there, but you got to expect that... I recommend you stay within the legal limits of everything...
The police tested me when I driving out of WEMF in Canada in Gobstoppers car .... interesting driving a left hand drive manuel for my first time on the otherside of the road I am used to :)

i knew a while back about the police having kits to test pot smokers...by using a swab devise, or they were working on one. Can't remember........wondered if anyone has had an experience with that in syd.
were all in the same state!!!

seriously...if u are inhibited by ANY drug that will impare your driving i hope u do get caught and u get your licence taken off u, STUPID!!!!! if u are willing to endaner your life FINE not my issue...but yeah u can kill other ppls as well so yeah u drive u take it easy or i hope u get locked up :)

Basically, The only way your gonna get drugs into Utopia is by putting them where the sun dont shine, Or having them air dropped in. Personally, I know im not going to enjoy doing it but the police are so tight, And they have security guards at every rave in Australia that randomly search whoever they choose, And will roll people for their drugs and money and sell it back to their runners. It's mad. God i hate the Aussie scene. Theres absolutely no PLUR here at all. In fact PLUR is made a mockery off, Everyones a hypocritical judgemental ****wit.
I for one aren't even sure if i'm going to Utopia anymore purely because i think i'll get so disgusted with how mainstream it has gotten and how little plur there is. It's all a bunch of angry *******s taking drugs and starting fights. Giddy up.

Here the police needs a reason for the search, drug dog sniff's you etc,
otherwise it would be illegal...
But when they search it will be a complete search, standing naked in "jail" holding your hands over your head when 3 police men / customs officers search all your clothes & stuff, is not a good experience...

i dont agree with ya lunchbox, i think 'the scene' is just as good as its ever been, ppl just cant get over this 'back in the day' bllsh*t reminiscent stuff w/ raves.. basically the whole scene is decadence (so to speak), and prolly always will b.. i think u just had a one off bad experience w/ some jerk secca on a power trip, cos most of them i come across are cool guys that turn a blind eye to most shinanigans that go on in raves, as long as u dont start stupid shit like fights. Utopia will always attract 'teeny boppers' as its one of the most commercial raves (all ages) in Aust, but that doesnt automatically make it shit..despite a few shitc*nts at the past utopia's i have always managed to have a good time AND i think theres just as much plur out there in real aussie ravers, true some go just because they dont fit into any other 'cliche' and feel they need drugs n go to raves just to pay out others, ur right there, but the majority r there (still) to have a mad-ass f-ing time!! (like myself) :D PLUR!!!

Lets be thankful that we can have raves every weekend with people taking copeous amounts of drugs, surprising the government havent yet put out another stupid legislation banning raves ..
