Hello everyone!
I know I don't have permission to remix etc but 'Stargazer' is one of my favourite producers and 'Ultimate High' is my favourite hardcore tune. no matter how many time I hear it, it still makes my tingle!
Anyway... here is the 'Stargazer - Ultimate High (Nathan D pres. "Solapse" Remix)' file so far...

hey i think its pretty cool. you keep the feel of the original track, just changed it a lil bit. likes the vocal octave change sounded awesome. wish it was like at 180 bpm at least.
also need to normalize it.

normalizing is an option sound editors have to enhance and up the volume to make it sound better. hey def speed it up it will sound twice as good, hey listen to my track i just put up lemme know what you think.

o right ok. i'll adjust the volumes etc in cool edit pro when i've finished the track.
i would speed it up but it means timestretching any perc loops i've used again.

but otherwise im loving that i cant get over how good it is
someone get this guy in contact with stargazer he gotta hear this....
i would like to hear this track in a forthcoming compilation...
ive listen to a couple of tracks over the last few weeks from dj`s in this forum and the talent in hear is exellent and its getin better & better....
keep it coming guys-give me a few months yet and i`l get my tunes that im working on in hear too......watch this space..............

To hear it on a compilation would be amazing but I really can't see it getting released. I'd love it if it was to get released but if it was going to be it'd be like a Scott Brown RMX or sumfin and mine is nothing compared to what those guys could do. But anyway... glad you think it'd fit in on an album or whatever :p
I found Stargazer on USH.net and got his MSN but nothing seems to have come of it, so if anyone can still put me in contact with him I would really appreciate it!

see comments like this are like a dream lol! i'm not really dissing myself, i just didn't expect it too be liked coz classics should never be touched in a lot of peoples opinions.
i've had interest from a guy locally who's setting up a label. he wants me t get in the studio with him etc and lay down some tunes. but it's annoying when i do remixes like this that are never likely to be released. i'd love it if it was tho. this is one of the reasons why i wanna contact stargazer as he might like it too and might wanna take it further etc.

Ultimate high is a great track
I like what your did with it... the vocals are less shrieky and annoying than the original - I like that.
Anyhow, I think you should get it at 170-175 bpm and make sure you have an intro/outro so it can be mixed properly - I think if this is worked on it's worth a release :)
anyhow, good job - please post the full track for download when you're done :)

The track is great... stargazer might have made the hardcore mix but the acapella is not stargazers... it's very old sample... Although you should ask stargazer about it because he made the hardcore remix, he could not legally stop you from releasing it nor sue you.

BY NO MEANS can you release this without permission from Stargazer himself.
For a site that looks badly on the use of p2p downloaders etc im shocked that someone would find it ok to release this on vinyl ?
For your information... Stargazer used the acapella, that is true... but the melody is his and that means he can claim for copyright, not that I expect that he would but there wouldnt be a label that really touch this due to the nature of the tune.

it was underground recordings that released the original wasn't it? that's the label my copy is on anyway.
i have contacted stargazer. am waiting for a reply. i'm not planning to do anything till i get word from stargazer.
i made this coz i was bored, i didn't plan for release or any big reaction. just wanted my own remix of my favourite hardcore tune.

I forgot to mention (and has caused a few harsh comments)... that if you plan to call your track "Stargazer - Ultimate High (Nathan D Remix)"... you would 100% been stargazers permission... But even if you changed the name the fact you based your track on his (you admit this) you would have to get his permission.

just said the sadly he doesn't own the rights to the track anymore but told me who to speak to etc. he also said it shows i know how too piece a decent track together which gave me a bit of encouragement.
i've now started on my own tune. it's an original tune by me but i found some vocals that fit quite nicely so it may become some kinda bootleg but i'll be sure to post a sample up when i have time!

yeah i guess it does get boring but it's only my 4th or 5th attempt at hardcore. i've got a lot to learn.
it's slow yeah true but nothing the pitch control on ur decks can't sort out! it's at 160bpm-ish.
i have a new tune on the go at the moment, 182bpm. sounds similar to the UH remix but i'm still learning so i'm just improving what i already have, sound wise.
will upload a sample of wot i have done so far asap! ;) be sure to check it out, look out for 'Solapse - I Believe'!

yeah...thank god you can take a bit of constructive criticism...but yeah the faster i would like it alot better but maybe make not so LIKE TRANCE...use more of a edgier trancey synth not so light** i don't know...thats what i look lin a hardcore track..but i mean overall the sound and how u construct the track overall is really good****

there'd be no point in uploading my stuff for u to hear if i couldnt handle a bit of a knock back. that's what makes it more fun coz ur challenged. obviously i can't try to make everyone happy all of the time but that's why i put my stuff up, so i can get told where i'm going wrong so i can try get it right ;)
i produced rance and hard house before so i guess i try bring that through. i like the trancier hardcore so that may be why i edge that way in my productions.

just to clear a few things up, when we bought the remixes for underground/warped science we actually did a deal including all future rights to the track, the original and any related remixes. so emailing stargazer/UHDM wont be too much help :P
