Wouldn't doubt it if it worked out that way. |

oh, I like Squad-E, but I will have to pass if the cd isnt even above 170bpm, we will just have to see how all the cds sound! |

Wiked, i love bonkers! |

I think a disc being mixed by hixxy & squad-e would be good and im sure it will be above 170 bpm :), has anyone heard any confirmation on the DJs who will be mixing it. |

Warped Canykid just said "but I will have to pass if the cd isnt even above 170bpm"
i dont think its even classed as hardcore if it is below 170bpm :S |

Squad-E has not done enough within the scene to deserve a spot on bonkers. So many decent DJ's have been overlooked over the years and this average guy who's not doing/done anything special gets on a disk... Pffft. |
Cotts |
I was just thinking about when this was going to happen. I bought bonkers 16 today actually and I must say the only good disc is Sharkey & Clsm. Thats such an awesome cd, its killer!! |

Kutski was used by Sharkey as a scratch dj only to add something extra to his cd. He didnt do anything except add some scratching after it was mixed.
Kutski has done more hardcore than the donk tastic Squad-E |
warped_candykid |
I just dont like Hardcore when its on the slower side. Brisk is one of my fav. DJs. His mixes are almost always fast. |
nasen |
Well...Bonkers eh?
First of all , Sy needs to do a mix of current tunes as he hasn't done that since Bonkers 6.
As always , Sharkey should mix by himself as he always delivers. But I'd love to see him & Hixxy back together for a mix.
Scott Brown I'd like to see mixing with Neophyte again. 15 was just awesome.
Impact + UFO would be another good mix.
And Brisk + Hixxy wouldn't be bad either.
I just hope there's none of this 'best of' or 'retro' mixes as they don't bring anything new to the series.
|
Nitrostatic |
I agree with the other guy that Brisk ALWAYS delivers. I hope he does a mix on the next Bonkers |

i want luna c! i really dont mind with squad e on it, it doesnt bother me at all, i think it will be great.. @ candykid, i doubt it will be even under 175, squad e plays faster stuff, i have heard 160 bpm hardcore.. shocking!.. maybe brisk should be on bonkers? |
paul-1 |
I really hope bonkers doesn't go the way of other Cd's and bring out a special Unmixed disc or full length, don't like them
I'd like to see
Cd 1- Hixxy & Dougal
Cd 2- Sharkey & K-Complex (Scratching from Kutski again)
Cd 3- Scott Brown & Evil Activites
Cd 4- Gammer & Brisk
I'd really like to see Gammer have a mix without Dougal
I think Hixxy and Dougal could be quite interesting paring them back up
|
Chew |
I would like to see
Hixxy & Re-Con
Joey Riot & Kurt
Scott Brown & Evil Activities
Brisk & Vagabond.
Its extremely unlikely that would ever happen but it would be mental if it did. |
Da Cunney Bugz |
would be a fine cd ^ ;)
cant see kurt ever geting a shot at it though and if he did we'd all be gutted as it would all be commercial bollocks |

i love bonkers, i thought sharkey, clsm and kutski on 16 was the best sharkey c.d ever! there are sum absoloute tunes onthat, that i wish i cud get on vinyl.
as for the new one, id love them to go back to 4 disks, i really want them 2 pull out all the stops 4 this one, if only to show ppl that bonkers is still the best, most original and 1st major hardcore compilation. not every1 will like 17, but thats the way it goes.
Hixxy and Sharkey (could be interesting)
CLSM and Cube::Hard (would be the best freeform c.d ever)
Joey Riot and Kevin Energy (i just like them both lol)
Scott Brown and Nosferatu (i think evil activites or neophyte wud use songs that we already have heard)
|
Lilley |

i have all 17 bonkers and i honestly fink they've gone well downhill us lately. bonkers 9,10 & 11 were awesome i thought, dint mind 14 either.
if there gona do another bonkers they shud have mark eg b2b gammer techno disc, scott brown b2b hixxy disc and sharkey brb clsm disc.. tht wud be heavy!! they could even make it 4 cds again and have a dougal & sy old skool disc |

As far as i've heard it's
Hixxy & Re-Con
Sharkey & Kevin Energy
Scott Brown & Brisk

Brisk, i don't know about that, Brisk and Vagabond's tracks are rubbish!
Ham's the best thing out of Next Gen and Blatant Beats, i don't like the stopmy kind of beat from B&V tracks.

I thought Bonkers 15 was a near perfect formula
Hixxy & Re-con did well imo
Sharkey & Marc Smith were brilliant, some absolute beasts on that cd
Scott Brown & Neophyte was a bit inbetween but decent, i liked it
Dougal & Gammer, possibly one of my favourite bonkers mixes ever.
I would like to see Brisk in there somewhere, and possibly CLSM/Cube::Hard
|
DJ Hellfury |
my fav. djs would be:
cd1: hixxy & re-con (like bonkers 15)
cd2: sharkey & k-complex
cd3: scott brown & brisk
cd4: gammer & evil activities & dreadhed
but @ 185bpm, anything else is too slow for me |

bonkers is supposed to be a showcase of different types of hardcore. all you've got their is UK hardcore, Gabber, and shitty bounce/clublandcore.

my ideal bonkers comp.
al storm & kurt
brisk & ham
scott brown & evil acticities
sharkey & kev energy |
DJ-Intensity |
Next Bonkers CD choices are tough but in my opinion these are the DJS who should mix the CDs. Al Storm & Euphony CD 1 CD 2 Brisk & Ham hopefully the choons last a bit longer CD 3 Darwin & Cube::Hard last but not least CD 4 Fracus & Nu Foundation. |

I don't care who mixes it as long as CLSM is on there and Hixxy makes song choices the way he did back in the day. |

Scott Brown & Gammer (or Marc Smith)

Possibly even "hosted by whizzkid and storm"

please dear god keep the MCs at raves and off cds! (no offense MC's) |
Craigavon raver |
these r the bonkers 18 dj,s storm, sharkey and scott brown, well just my predictions
last summer i said they would be hixxy, sharkey and scott brown, but as silver said in another topic hixxy, breeze r styles won,t be involved, and every 1 knows sharkeys involved and i think mr brown will b still there as well,so we turn 2 storm who i think will replace hixxy as i just remembered hes now signed up 2 raverbaby, and in a previous topic about 4 months ago somebody came on the forum from ush and said storm wouldn,t b invovled, and low and behold the very next reply was from al himself and he said "i didn,t say i wasn,t on it i just said stop spreading rumours"and then a few months ago i read an interveiw wiyh kutski and at the end of the interview it mentioned a new track by kutski and storm which would feature on the new bonkers cd
so there u have it the djs 4 the new bonkers cd and u heard it here first!
even though silver ruined it 4 me a wee bit in the previous post lol |

screw it! offend them! personally from some of the live mixes I have heard I find MCs rather irritating many times. let the DJ be the MC, since they won't b saying much anyways since they'll be too busy doing the mixes, which is what i think really matters in a rave. but then again i haven't been 2 a hardcore rave so for all i know i'll love MCs if i ever went 2 one now.
but I think in place of hixxy, they might put Re-Con in there, especially since he has been in many of the AATW projects already. |
Rayovac |
Well that tiny, tiny little gleam of hope that hixxy won't be on hath been squashed. And dear god, please no MCs...
All in all though, I'm fine as long as it's the Bonkers we've come to know and love. Hopefully AATW won't screw up anything. |

I never meant it to sound nasty. I was just making my point that i personally think they would be a good change to the usual same people on Bonkers. This sight is so full of people who only know Hardcore from 2002 up. At least the choons didn't all sound the same back in the day. |

yea no chance in hell that happening. true hardcore is done for i think the company making the series went bankrupt. and as far as their mix goes on those, it wasn't that good. yes their older stuff was better, but truthfully they are better at producing than DJing. so i don't want that combo on the new bonkers.
and since CXH seems to only come out once a year, then yea it is plausible that hixxy will return back to bonkers. but i still hope that won't happen. i'd love 2 see darwin on the next bonkers he is still amazing |

The first Bonkers I ever heard was XI: Forevolution. It was the first cd I had ever bought and it was the first hardcore I had ever heard. I am very new to the hardcore scene but even so, I have heard my fair share and I am continuing to listen. None of the Bonkers cds I've heard since my first have disappointed me. Again, I understand that there is way more for me to learn since I am so new to all this. But I think the fact that Bonkers could be around for so long shows that at least someone likes what they're doing.
Whatever happens on the next cd, I'm sure it will be excellent. No matter if you like or dislike Bonkers, they're still pumping out productions and that should be a point noted, and appreciated by all Hardcore listeners.
I can't wait for the next set =) |

I would love to see DJ Seduction do a disc on Bonkers. One of the only big names that has been around for years and never done a set on Bonkers. He's very underated. Or even Slipmatt and Billy Bunter would be good. |
