Taken from the news page:

A new album is set for release August 2008 called Hardcore Addiction mixed by DJ's Darwin and Silver.

The album is officially to be released and packaged for the Japanese market but will be available to order online and at good hardcore stockests. The CD has official distribution in Japan and will be available at a later date in HMV, tower records, and larger Japanese music chain stores in Japan only.

The concept on the new album is new talent, we're compiled some so the best tracks out there to feature on a full length mixed CD. We've done internationally on this one featuring hardcore tracks and remixes from all over the globe.

The CD is a single disc release with 24 tracks with a complete Japanese packaging including spine card and wrapped in a clear pocket sleeve. Tracklist and artwork to follow!
bulby_g

Now this sounds interesting.
Wilky Another japan only release!

Can it be bought via hhc.com store?
Meathead Yeh sounds good. Any chance of it being stocked in HHC.com or Juno or summat like that?
Samination ... what will the tracklist contain? only UK Hardcore or will some of you actually mix hardcore from around the world? like Spain and Japan for example?
silver Yes will be online and most likely shop.happyhardcore.com and IMO Records and other stores.

Samination: A wide range, not mainly UK hardcore, it is across the boaad, there is a track by buzzmaster on the CD. Not sure if we got spain sorry, we have tracks from UK, Japan, Australia and North America, tracklist out next week :)
Craig Switchback People will enjoy this album. :)
Torpex

Should be a good album, VARIETY!
DJ-Intensity Wicked looking forward to this.

well atleast you tried adding something else than uk/us/au, but can buzzmasta (!) be considered as newcomer?
redwingz I want it, I want it now!
Smoogie I will keep my eyes open on this!
CDJay This album is happy-HAPPY-hardcore.

It's not only new comers, it's a mixed bag.
CDJay "I'm still waiting for Darwin & Shimamura to make tracks together"

He's over in the UK imminently, and it's on the cards ;)

CDJay
Mortis Woohoo!!!

I'd like to think I played a small part in that, I mentioned it ages ago on here
Samination I wish makina and "epic" freeform where more accepted by the mainstream :P

Freeform yes - Makina.........no chance!!
dj_excy mmmm will have to order this :)
Samination Silver might distrobute it throu the site aswell, for those who doesnt want to wait for a international release
Wilky So is there guna b sum makina on the album? I hope so
Torpex Some of the Japanese stuff is quite "makinish", so I can see it happening. ;)
Samination so far silver only aknowledge Buzzmasta on it. most Buzzmasta stuff I got isn't makina, and I doubt Silver mixes it. I dont know about Darwin tho.

Like Torpex said, if you exclude DJ Sharpnel and DJ Tecnoroch (and Buzzmasta), most japanese stuff are influnced by Makina, for example DJ M-Project, DJ Depath, テクネチウム (DJ-Technetium) produced mostly Makina
esu MAKINAAA

lol, I doubt it'll have any makina stuff on there, it doesn't really make sense to put makina I think. Since, this is a hardcore CD.
And I think only Buzzmasta and Shimamura would be on the CD that are from Japan, haha.

Last time I checked, makina was a hardcore genre. ;)

Anyway, the concept of two UK hardcore DJs mixing stuff with so much variety is exciting enough. Stop your whining Samination (you Swedish **** etc., you know the score). Wait and see!
DJ-Intensity I'll be getting this.
Proxy hehe, looking forward to this one !
Brian K congrats silver & darwin, sounds like an interesting cd

will probably wind up a collectors item with just the jp release
DJ-Intensity The tracklist is gonna look awesome.

Darwin is amazing!! So underated is silly! Hes tunes are so high quality, just listen to, like you said HN:NG and the hardcore underground cds oh and wow what a rush 10. Stupidly good!!
chappy_hardcore i admire how you refrained from using as many commercial influences on your album. At the moment, i think albums like this present different approaches and a wide range of styles to Hardcore Compilation releases, i look forward to getting my hands on this release. Good Job!

How weird did i put that ^ :(
silver Artwork:

No girly on the front ... but other secret surprises :)
MAtRiCks Interesting tracklist!

Fracus, Darwin, Euphony, Nu Foundation and a bunch of great vocalists such as Lisa Abbot, Alison Wade and Donna Grassie is truly what's making me buy this.

The rest seems okay to me. We'll see! ;D

I don't get this. Aren't you happy about the diversity on this cd? since when did sy & unknown not deserve their place on a hardcore album?
DarrenJ oh naked girls in the booklet? yay

I do like the diversity of this album but, it's already diverse without them. IMO They stopped deserving places on any albums, other than CLXH, when they started churning out generic tripe. Just my opinion anyways but, it's only two tracks so i can just skip em anyway.

Hirschi If it's possible to get it via amazon.DE or a market place vendor, I'm gonna buy it! I love the idea of "we don't need a chick on the cover"! :P

I got my copy through trialpay! After I signed up to a uk books for children deal Trialpay wouldn't accept my UK address so I complained and they liased with Silver to get the CD to me. Result!

First person to notice... there are two, did you find them both ?
DarrenJ yeap, i got my package as i checked the letterbox to leave.. so i just threw it in my bag with my laptop. So got to suss it out on the train to the city.

edit: after a few listens, really like the 2nd half the best.
uncontrolable, phatt, my world remix and everythings fine are niceee

added the tracklist to msn database, should show in windows media player.
MAtRiCks haha that hardcore chix in the OBI strip was well hidden :P

I'm glad I bought this album right when it came out, and it's a great piece of entertainment. Some of the producers on it seem to have tried really hard bringing back the old sounds of <2000, and I like the result! :D

Okay, heres a little list of the tracks that stood out the most for me, with a little justification:

02. Darwin feat. Toni leo - Come on out: What an amazing track, with a real old cheezy vibe to it. I really like to sing along to it.

03. Chwhynny - My love: I didn't know about this one, and after listening to it on the album I found out its actually a free download on the rfu website. very nice song!

04. Scott Devotion - Positive Energy: super entertaining song. again, a good old cheeze vibe.

05. Darwin & Obie feat. Charm - Under blue skies: sooo cheezy, it remind's me of old blumchen stuff. I really appreciate the throwback ;)

07. DeejayBee, D-ice & Reality feat. Lexzii - Touched (Sy & Unknown remix): I'm biased when it comes to sy & unknown's beats, and I like this one too. the only problem is that this song sounds like the stuff they would have produced in 2004!

09. Al Storm - Move those feet!: Surprisingly fun tune! makes me wanna dance.

14. SMS - Colours (Darwin remix): interesting track! I enjoy it a lot, especially that second break down and the lead that follows. very hypnotising.

16. Darwin feat. Alison Wade - Angel from the sky: I'm also biased when it comes to Alison Wade ^^ This track is oh so uplifting and sweet, I love it. YES to nes sounds, when used cleverly like here.

20. Darwin feat. Donna Grassie - Light up my life: Darwin sets the stereo on fire once again. He really knows how to put up a cheeze-core vibe.

21. Chaos - Uncontrolable (2008 Remix): great trancy leads and a powerful sounding melody, plus pianos in the breakdown. very enjoyable.

23. Fracus feat. Donna - See if I care: I <3 Fracus, and I <3 this track! the vocals are very powerful, with great work on the lyrics. not your usual love song.

24. Buzzmasta feat. Chwynny - Everything's fine (Let's fighting love mix): oh so cute! the vocals bring me back to my old kandykid days :P

Leto Loved it! BUY IT EVERYONE!

(I really liked Positive Energy.)

lucky you! (favouritism I say) I paid full price! good album, but to me its heard it all before type of thing! not one track is in my head 24/7! (I'm hard to please being old!)

Supremereactr This is an awesome addition to the Hardcore Universe. First 3 tracks a bit slow but it starts to pick up in the next few tracks, a couple of bangin' tracks in the middle and it doesn't stop. Until the one track which isn't so great Angel from the sky. Then the rest of the album restores its hardcore feel.
