Si Thompson Shame the following tracks never got released.

DJ Slam - The Future

Trance Masters - Acid Sunshine (Dubplate Mix)

Ramos, Billy Bunter & UFO - The Theme

Mr Hyde & UFO - Organ Power

All played by Ramos @ Fusion 'Dream Trip' @ The Sanctuary in April 1997.

I love this kind of Trancecore. Wicked vibe.
Impulse_Response Amazing. Hard to believe I was 2 when this happened.

Agreed.

Ramos, Selektah! :)
Si Thompson Love this. Played it in a set the other week.

Samination I like the tracks on the first post. As long as it's not the trancecore that appeared on Ramos' Off Yer Nut!! 2 mix. Those where quite boring, most of them.
Si Thompson Prefer this on 45RPM like Juice & Cally used to play it.

Alex Threat couple tracks from the legend Juan Cruz

Samination never heard of Juan Cruz till today, and I've listened to makina since 2003 :P Legend might be an over-overstatement

Could be, but he was involved with some of the great makina tracks out there. Ruboy has to be one of the best makina producers though
Alex Threat Ruboy has been involved with so many of the makina anthems over the years. some of his tracks:

Samination Just like Paul Estak's behind 70-90% of all the dutch happy hardcore, the same could almost be said about Ruben Ruboy haha

Exactly mate! He, like Paul Elstak is still going too. Makina Station is a new Makina label I know he has been involved with. I've picked up all the releases so far as one of the DJ's (Nos), lives in England so i purchase the vinyl directly from him. Here's the link to the label on discogs:

https://www.discogs.com/label/1943505-Makina-Station

Samination aaaaand... it's vinyl only.

That's one of the thing I dislike Ruboy for. Apparently he doesn't like digital, similar to Hixxy
nevermind. Apparently the Makina Station releases are from the other labels on Portal Makina
Alex Threat Yeah, portal makina has some new Ruboy records releases on there too.

EDIT: just noticed some of the tracks on the Vinyl are released under Ruboy records too

I always play 'X Port' on 45.

So many quality 90s tracks never got released. I really like Trancecore. But once the sound changed and became commercial sounding freeform after 2000. I lost interest in it. This is really good though, Ramos really deserves more credit. Billy Bunter also with his label GBT - Great British Techno.
Samination To continue what you started on OneSeventy, I doubt you've listened to all Freeform if you say it turned commercial after 2000.

I'll gladly post the same videos here, and ask you how these 3 sounds anything like commercial trance, or any other genre for that matter?

Those tracks were the exact reason why the rave scene started dying quickly, Hixxy, Bunter, Ramos started playing them at events at those speeds and it just killed everything dead.

That was obvious a result of that "meeting" and it was the worst decision ever made. The HHC wasn't great being produced at the time either it was all vocal shite, BUT the odd great track came outta that too, and I am pretty sure the scene would not have had its bleak time then and morphed towards UK Hardcore quicker.

Trancy shit like that needs to stay in the techno rooms it was never main arena worthy. Dave Angel had a massive following for sticking to his guns with trance, and he played alongside the likes of HMS, it worked there, but that tranceore shite alongside brisk etc ? It ****ed it.

Unless Brisk was on earlier in the night, these type of sets were usually early in the main room. I have no issue with that, but they were best kept for the Technodrome, although, this Ramos set is definitely main room worthy. Quality track after quality track.
Si Thompson I loved Nu Energy around 2004/05.

Si Thompson I liked this Arkitech remix too. I used to play it along with the original around late 2007.

LeVzi Clarkee used to play trancey techno in the main rooms start soft and get harder, it worked , but playing anything slow and trancey in the main room killed it, I watched people leaving for the old school rooms or techno rooms , even the jungle rooms, no one liked it.

But, it was welcomed in the techno rooms as the harder techno had gone beyond normal, HMS, Lofty, Scorpio, Producer were playing breakneck speeds, and you couldnt survive to that all night, so the slower trancy stuff was needed before people started dropping.

Clarkee often had two sets @ Helter Skelter. Main room and Technodrome. Played some cracking stuff!

This is one of my favourites. Wicked stuff! Main room also.

Think I'll edit the title of this thread and add Techno also. Plenty of good stuff to explore.
LeVzi When Clarkee was in that mood, he played some trippy as **** techno, really fked up stuff that was cool , but he always turned the heat up at some point.

But then if he was in that mental mood, Area 51 in full effect.

The Music Maker had an acid light show, that was pretty dope too.

Dave Angel was popular back then, always nice for a break from the mental techno and a good time to chill for a bit , get some energy back.

And this was the only time I saw the big man live.

These aren't Hard House. Hard House is slower. They would come under Trancecore/Hard Trance.

Hard House is 150 BPM. These tracks are around 158-164 BPM.

I could've swore that said Hard House. Anyway, Hard Trance/Trancecore/Early Freeform. Any of those are fine with me.

Trancecore wasn't actually an official genre name. It was used around 1997 by the DJs that were playing that sort of stuff at the time. So, Sharkey, Ramos, Billy Bunter etc. The same as Juice & Cally coined the term 'Power Trance', which was basically Trance on 45rpm.

2001 this came out mate. I've got the vinyl. I think UK hardcore took a lot of influence from Makina, and vice versa to be fair. Quite a few UK hardcore tracks got released on Spanish labels like bit music and xque to try and push hardcore further than just in the UK

Then this predates Storm & Euphony
Alex Threat Haha, no worries mate. It's on a label called Uptempo. A great Spanish Makina Label with some epic releases on it!

iforgotmylogin I thought some people in this thread might enjoy this mix - its a bit of hard trance/freeform/gabber...

Dj Proteus & carbon based - heavy fusion
Scott Project - F the future is now
Dj Thera - lost in trance L.A. Tion
Tankis & Savietto - outrageous
Dj RX - Hellfire (proteus remix)
Doc savage - masterblaster (Kevin energy & doc savage rmx)
Asa & s1 - the future is ours
Ephexis & oli g - spatial inversion
Gammer - can?t compete
Darwin obie & mr e - future shock
Arkitech - under the influence
aalyx - cyber revolution
Hellsystem - burn this city
Ophidian - the Phoenix
Sulphurik Came across a remix of this track below.

This is the Nothing But Rocket remix from last year.

Both versions sound great.
Sulphurik Komakino - their tracks are classed as being hard trance but tracks were quite fast and rave sounding but wouldn't class as happy hardcore. They did make some classics.

Big fan of Controlling transmission (Final Fantasy alias) and Dune - who wants to be forever (Komakino remix) which is superb.

This Outface I hadn't heard, sounds decent.
