Can someone who's still paying attention to the scene clue me in please? Who's still making the good stuff?
Recently it seems like every artist I once loved is falling the same way.
I know Scott Brown is still keeping it real so I've obviously been paying close attention to the new Evo releases. Who else should I be paying attention to?

At the moment (apart from lethal theory of course) I find that I'm enjoying quite a bit of dowster & vagabond stuff and looking to the smaller labels where it's dribs and drabs of gems. TWR stuff isn't worth looking at and there is a lot of low quality imitation powerstomp to avoid. Stu infinity is doing some good stuff these days but it's not one artist in particular.

The new Fallon bit is good on here, sounds new but old, also love the Macks Wolf remix! New Scott Brown bits are unbelievable Jeff.

There is that mix, which is pretty good. Technikore also seems to be keeping it "real"

Me too. Don't get all this pish about it not being 'real' hardcore. Just because it doesn't sound like it was produced in 2007 doesn't make it less enjoyable. Some really good tunes and some not so good, same as its always been.

Evolution (Scott Brown) has some good tunes coming out! Waves, Pump Your First, and a few others off the label!

He already mentioned Scott Brown, so I'd expect he's checking out Evolution already
arpz: Let's see how many are interested in going back to 2005, because the d-lyte stuff do sound nice (and somewhat unlike he did back then because I only ended up buying one or 2 tracks of his :P)

What's really scary is before i listened to paranoia and compared to some crap now, it doesn't sound that bad.

i think it is easier to dig gems out if you don't rule out entire labels or artists. personally, while i don't mind TWR, i don't actively listen/buy their releases. however, D&G's Snakebite is easily my favourite track of the year so far. i don't follow the "religion" that hardcore should sound a specific way, the only thing it should do is make me want to dance at a ridiculously high BPM :p that has helped me find great stuff by artist that i generally despise.
you should look at the japanese artists aswell, i heard they were really stepping up a year or so ago, i bet by now you have a big amount of good releases to look through.
