I want to know how do you guys go about searching for a specific set from the past?
I'm looking for what I believe is a Druid set, although I have no way to know that for sure! In fact I know nothing about it other than it was given to me by a friend who was living in Gloucester at the time, which I think was about 95. From memory the set was mostly breakbeat hardcore. I specifically remember it had the following tracks on it:
Jimmy J & Cru-L-T - Dj's In Full Effect
Ramos, Sunset Regime, Billy Bunter remix - Knight Raver
Ramos, Supreme & Sunset Regime - Sunshine (95 Remix)
DJ Hixxy - JackAttack
I've spent so many hours scouring through Youtube & Discogs to no avail. Any tips for how I can find this please?

well if someone has posted a tracklist of the set, you could try googling those artist names and titles and hope it works.
I just tried that and i cant seem to find any consistance links

Thanks for suggestions.. Google searches also fruitless for me. Soundcloud was a good suggestion, was surprised how many results it brought back... just trawled through over 50 mixes but it still remains elusive!
The other thing I remember about it was there was no MC... maybe it was a broadcast rather than a live event.

I use YouTube, type in the DJs name and the year, and the rave itself if you know it. I've had to do a lot of trawling but I've found more or less every set I've looked for.

That's the problem, I have no idea of the source of this set. Sadly I was too young to be going out to raves at that time, a mate (who I no longer know) passed me the tape, it was my first introduction to hardcore. I must have hammered it non stop for 2 years and would love to hear it again as I've honestly never heard a better set since (although that may turn out to be nostalgia talking!)
I should probably just give up at this stage, but was kind of hoping the more knowledgeable people of that era may know where Druid used to play around 95. It was a good quality recording, and no MC so perhaps not from a live rave?

Oh, there have been heaps of sets I've looked up and not known the event.
What I would normally do is search for the DJ and maybe the year, then just flick through the sets listening out for parts I recognised. It might be difficult of course if you're not 100% sure on the DJ and there isn't an MC. Just keep looking pal.
