latininxtc I've been hearing joey riot and kurt talk about this on FB, but I sure as hell am shocked that this is going to be a physical copy and not a digital album, on top of seeing it released by HU! It's great to see so many producers coming to HU for their artist album releases. They clearly see what a powerhouse HU is in the UK hardcore scene :)
wong i just wish they'd call it hardcore
Craigavon raver ****! hardcore underground are busy boys! and haven't heard this powerstomp stuff yet, as I'm not up to date these days with all the new hardcore, but i'll def have to check it out
DJ Hellfury release date announced
kazukism92 Joey F***ing Riot will be releasing an album from HU.

UNEXPECTED!
DJ Hellfury massive update
Samination if most of it is melodic powerstomp, I'm in love :)
kazukism92 I should take it!, personally I loved their stuff from the mix album that they made for Hardcore Heaven Summer Madness and I wanted more and this is the chance to get it (or pre-order it!).
DJ Hellfury preview added
Ken Masters What's everyone's opinions on the Powerstomp movement then?

tbh i haven't given it much attention since its arrival but had a listen through the samples and admit there are a few on there I wouldn't mind playing, a few I wouldn't touch with a bargepole but tis the way with most albums I suppose.

I saw Kurt and Joey play a Powerstomp set in Leeds at Stomp! and I have to say it was very powerful and affecting! So good on the dancefloor.

There was a big Powerstomp discussion a few months ago, Ken, here :-)

CDJay I think it's great that something has come along to actually enliven swathes of these scenes in uncertain times.

Hardcore Underground has *always* been about pushing as many facets of the scene as possible. Let's not forget that it started as a compilation CD (not a label), which featured... Kurt b2b Stormtrooper repping the "partycore" sound. Originially Joey was on there, too, but the Hardcore Heaven 4 album became available (bit of trivia for y'all ).

The way to have a healthy scene is to work together, and ideally present it somewhat professionally with a degree of quality control. There's a lot already coming up, and I sincerely hope that more and more people jump on board. Albums often generate material that otherwise wouldn't have existed, and can showcase that very same material effectively to a wide audience. The reliance on major labels to deal out albums meant that when the train stopped, the whole scene derailed slightly with it.

Let's fix it, together.

Quicksilver Yes, let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya!
Cyrax I'm not a huge fan of some of the tracks , but there are a couple that I do want so will definitely be picking this up
dj_deano Terrible name for a genre to be honest. At least they are pushing something new(ish)

I roll my eyes at some of the track titles from Joey Riot and Kurt... "Do U Suk Dix" is worst title of the year 2013. Congrats.
The Dopeman it's not about the name...it's about the how the track sounds

it's better than skittercore (dubcore for those that don't know what a skitter is...well a couple of other members should know what a skitter is lol)
Torpex I'm actually very excited for this, although I agree some of the titles are painful.
Samination After hearing the samples, here's a few things I gotta say:
  • Joey & Kurt are showing why they still are the new generation of Sy & Unknown, with their bouncy, sorry stompy kicks.
  • Joey Riot has more tracks on this release I like than Kurt. That amazed me...
  • but as I feared, it's more about bounce than melody. So far I only liked 4 or 5 tracks out of the samples :/

Torpex: you want them to be in polish instead dont you? :)
Torpex Sure, I'd love the title to be "Zacz??em To G?wno" instead of "I Started Diz Shit". Brilliant.

As for the music - sometimes it's increadibly annoying, at other times it's brilliant in its happy simplicity. I know I'll enjoy at least a dozen or so tracks. :)

EDIT: Forum fail @ superencrypted Polish characters. :D
RMedhurst Has anyone looked at the product page for this lately?

It says it's 400 quid.

Usually when they have no stock left...i think.
RMedhurst do they drop the price when they get more stock?

highly doubt there will order more stock for it. Albums released by HU aren't meant to be limited edition, but UK hardcore isn't a genre that is in the habit of selling hundreds or thousands of albums, at least not anymore.

seems a bit tight given that the album isn't available for download!

Samination after finally giving this album some more listening, I am highly dissapointed at it :/
At the first preview listens I found a couple of tracks I thought was OK, but after listening to them properly again, I couldn't find out why I thought so.

I thought there might've been more tracks that sounded like Like an Angel, but no, this album sucks in comparison to that track :(

tight? Not sure what you mean by that. The album was available for purchase for about 6 months, maybe longer. So if anything you waited too long to purchase it.

Also, even though this was distributed/released by HU, the tracks are Lethal Theory property and they're the ones who decide whether or not to make the album or tracks available for digital download. Maybe hit up joey riot and kurt to see if they're willing to sell the album to you digitally.
