I've been hearing joey riot and kurt talk about this on FB, but I sure as hell am shocked that this is going to be a physical copy and not a digital album, on top of seeing it released by HU! It's great to see so many producers coming to HU for their artist album releases. They clearly see what a powerhouse HU is in the UK hardcore scene :)

****! hardcore underground are busy boys! and haven't heard this powerstomp stuff yet, as I'm not up to date these days with all the new hardcore, but i'll def have to check it out

I should take it!, personally I loved their stuff from the mix album that they made for Hardcore Heaven Summer Madness and I wanted more and this is the chance to get it (or pre-order it!).

What's everyone's opinions on the Powerstomp movement then?
tbh i haven't given it much attention since its arrival but had a listen through the samples and admit there are a few on there I wouldn't mind playing, a few I wouldn't touch with a bargepole but tis the way with most albums I suppose.

I saw Kurt and Joey play a Powerstomp set in Leeds at Stomp! and I have to say it was very powerful and affecting! So good on the dancefloor.
There was a big Powerstomp discussion a few months ago, Ken, here :-)

I think it's great that something has come along to actually enliven swathes of these scenes in uncertain times.
Hardcore Underground has *always* been about pushing as many facets of the scene as possible. Let's not forget that it started as a compilation CD (not a label), which featured... Kurt b2b Stormtrooper repping the "partycore" sound. Originially Joey was on there, too, but the Hardcore Heaven 4 album became available (bit of trivia for y'all  ).
The way to have a healthy scene is to work together, and ideally present it somewhat professionally with a degree of quality control. There's a lot already coming up, and I sincerely hope that more and more people jump on board. Albums often generate material that otherwise wouldn't have existed, and can showcase that very same material effectively to a wide audience. The reliance on major labels to deal out albums meant that when the train stopped, the whole scene derailed slightly with it.
Let's fix it, together.
