Ken Masters
It's here! The next instalment in the PPF series has landed! & i'm sure you'll all agree that 'PPF 2014' has taken the series to new heights! I'm incredibly proud of what's been achieved with this years album, there's been an immense amount time invested in the project & it really shows. Once again you've all risen to the challenge & together we have created something unique.

Without rambling too much, I have to thank each & every one of you for your continued support. Without it there's absolutely no point in me running a project such as this & i'm extremely grateful for all your help. The aim has always been to give you guys something to work towards & in turn progress as artists, I hope i've re-paid your faith in the project & you'll all continue to get involved year in year out.

A massive thank you has to go to that man Olly Elipton! Over the past few months the guy has been in the process of finishing his time at University, which to be fair surely takes priority! but he's still managed to put time aside & create the immense album image that you see now. It's fair to say his design talents have always been admired on HH.com & to have him handling this side of the album has been a huge help. I'm extremely grateful for this, & glad he passed.....it means I don't have to live with the guilt of him failing Uni after constantly pestering the poor guy over the past few months!

Final thank you's have to go to Silver (for his ongoing support of the project allowing me to run it in the first place!), Jon Doe (for his support in mastering the majority of the album), all the artsist who took the time to create tracks exclusively for the album, submit them & then give them away for absolutely nothing! to Kay (Sc@r) & Greg (for their continued support in promotion, track submissions & this years showcase mixes), & of course to everyone of you who downloads, supports & enjoys the album.

The PPF project is & always will be a free album series. All I ask in return is you help everyone involved by promoting the album where ever you possibly can by directing people to the download/interview page. I want this to reach as far & wide as it possibly can so your support in doing this is greatly appreciated!

Between now & preparations beginning for 'PPF 2015' in December this year, I plan to create another free album called 'Future State Hardcore' & you can find more info on this in the album folder, I hope you'll all get involved & help support my new venture as well as bare the next PPF album in mind as you create more exciting new music over the coming year.

Thanks again & take it easy...

Ken

Audio Warfare Awesome! Seem to be having trouble downloading right now, keeps kicking me off and only downloading part of it. Shall try back later.
Bad Corey I'm getting the same issue as Audio Warfare, tried a couple times, only getting between 1 and 3 tracks each time and "Unexpected end of archive" error.
Triquatra yeah the web links don't seem very reliable, the only way I was able to download it was via

http://www.downthemall.net/

(or use a download manager of your prefrence!)
I'm uploading a copy to my website too which should hopefully help!

thanks mate, i've sent a message to Olly so it'll be resolved asap. Feel free to link us up when your finished to help cope with the demand.
Ken Masters Apologies everyone, the sheer volume of simultaneous downloads the second I released has caused problems.

Keep an eye out for more download links coming soon & as things settle down a bit so will the downloads.

Sorry for the Inconvenience everyone.
Elipton Unfortunately the host seems a bit crap. The support bloke said it was all of your faults. LOL.

Download manager certainly works, as it can pause and resume the download. I've added a couple of extra links, but beyond that Im helpless away from my external HDD. I'll put it up on Mediafire or WeTransfer as soon as possible.

Its frustrating because Ken tested the link earlier and it worked fine. I can only assume it's down to the amount of people attempting to download.
Mortis It's taken me a little over 1 minute to download using "Link 2" of the new mirrors.
Josephson_Junction I've got plenty of bandwidth to spare over at 175bpm.net. If it's OK, I'll put up another mirror once the album finishes downloading for me.

PS: Ken, if you have the WAV version of the tracks on the album, (if you want) you can send them to me, I'll convert them all to FLAC and help with hosting that as well.
AllisonM only downloading a wee bit for me too :( xx
Elipton It'll be solved soon. Sorry about all this, everyone!
brodster It's finally out! So many awesome tunes on this album. Downloading as soon as I get back home.
Ken Masters Apologies again for those still struggling to download. Its a real shame there's been trouble downloading but like Olly said, the link was tested before release but it appears the provider wasn't up to handling such a volume of traffic.

There will be more download links up asap, sorry for the delay.

I hope those that have managed to get the album are enjoying it :)
arpz Can't download yet :( Can I suggest some wetransfer/sendspace/mega.co.nz for now?

I'm chomping at the bit!
Smoogie I have managed to Download but I have to update WinZip which shouldn't be a problem so can try that tomorrow but I didn't get any issues while downloading so cant be a problem for everyone
Ken Masters ...& here's me thinking avoiding commercial upload sites this time round was a better idea! haha
Ionosphere Wahey! The 5th of May as promised.

Well done Ken.

trippnface hell ya got it <3 !!!!
Ken Masters Apologies to those who had trouble downloading the album last night. The sheer volume of simultaneous downloads caused us trouble meaning not everyone was able to download fully.

Everything seems to be running smoothly now & you can download through the primary album page but if anyone is still struggling then you can grab the album using this link instead - http://www.dj-triquatra.com/mp3/The_Past_The_Present_The_Future_2014_(320kbs_MP3).rar

Sorry again & I hope you all enjoy it :)
piumaki Finally is here!! On download!! ;)

I think you might be right, I do tend to get a little thread happy. I'm currently seeking help, taking it ooone thread at a time...
arpz I've got this downloaded (thanks Triquarta) but haven't had a chance to properly put it through it's paces, tomorrow is another story though, going to have a mix with a few of the tracks and some of the later HU stuff and try and produce something people might not find too jarring :)

Thank you, and thanks for all the additional content (interviews, artwork etc), what a great package!
Ken Masters Please continue to help promote the album page wherever you can guys, its all about helping the artists involved & getting the project out to as many people as we can...
Ken Masters You can checkout what that crazy Dutchman thought of our album on his review blog here - http://www.thecrazydutchmansblog.nl/wp/cd-reviews/ppf-2014/

When did you download Dean? Have you had this download since the initial problems?

There's no reason why anyone should still be struggling to get the album now, but if in the off chance anyone is having trouble please let me know.
djDMS I got one of the mirrors on the night. Should have checked at the time. Got it again today with no problems

DJ_FunDaBounce A definitely good job was made in choosing the tracks for 'The Moon'.
super mental. Frankenstein is pure art!

High quality all 'round!

Glad your enjoyin' the album :)

I came to the idea of representing the eras of the scene but in 2 different ways. 'The Sun' - Uplifting, euphoric 'make you smile' Hardcore & 'The Moon' - Deeper, darker & more experimental 'make you think' Hardcore :)
Smoogie Had a listen to the first part yesterday, really good tunes on there feel like Hardcore is starting to go somewhere for once. Nice to see some hhc.com guys get a mention rather than the 'top guys' like Hixxy or Styles

Good artwork as well seems like you done really well this year would like to see something else like this soon but I guess at the moment your taking a much deserved break lol

Elipton The best advice to producers who couldn't make it onto PPF this time is to network with each other. Chat on Skype, swap projects, work together to learn from each other and keep producing stuff. In time you'll improve.

When I first started producing, I was hopeless, and countless times I had tracks turned down from the first PPF (and the one that eventually did make it should have been refused too!). That year turned out to be the year I learnt the most about producing - helped by seeing what other people did and trying it for myself.

I might post the Ventress project file up on my Facebook so everyone can have an idea of how I produced it. Perhaps some people can learn, and maybe I could receive a few words of guidance of my own!

Yes, like I mentioned in the previews thread a few weeks ago, please dont be too disheartened if your track didn't make the album this time round.

I had one hell of a job on my hands selecting tracks which I felt best represented the album & the ideas I was trying to create. I tried my best to find a balance between pushing up & comers & established, professional artists. This meant that not only was I looking for fresh & creative ideas but also a decent standard of production with real potential to go to Jon for mastering.

Like Olly said, network between yourselves & research on how you can improve in time for next years album (as will I having pulled a couple of my own submissions!). Its all about learning & progressing & I want people to take something from the project, even if they didn't have a track selected.

I probably should have went into greater detail on this before now but there were a lot of real original ideas throughout the submissions & it was hard to leave some out, believe me.

If your track didn't make the album then feel free to post it up & I, aswell as others, will be more than happy to offer some feedback, good & bad. Or if you'd rather pm then that's all good.

Please keep at it & I look forward to hearing how everyone is getting on come PPF 2015 :)
Torpex Hey, this looks good. On the d/l!
Ken Masters Not much in the way of feedback yet, although releasing alongside the new Fracus & Darwin album was always going to be tuff! Haha
Torpex Feedback shall materialize once a good listen is given! :)

Also, horrible download speeds. Can we get this as a *******? I'll seed for a bit, as I'm sure will a few other people here.
Torpex Of course I meant to say T to the O to the double R to the E to the N to the T!

Just use a resumable download manager. I could provide a t?rrent, but I don't ever seed, and I dont really plan to.

As long as the download doesnt end prematurely, I dont see problem

Good call Allison, I'll start looking into pricing it up & get back to you all with more info asap..

Anyone who would like to put there name forward for a physical copy of the album please send me a PM & it'll help give me an idea of numbers.

Obviously no profits will be made, once I get an idea of how many people are interested I'll be able to price it better & then all everyone will be paying for is the flat manufacturing fee, which I'm hoping will be pretty reasonable if there's enough interest.
Samination wow, waves finally!

You'll want to consider shipping costs. ?1.10 2nd within UK. ?3.50 for Europe & Russia, ?4.50 for worldwide, and I think it's ?4.70 to Australia.

The pound symbol doesnt work.. this site amazes me sometimes xD

Definitely, i'll price up delivery when i'm next in town, but yeah obviously P&P would have to be covered also.

I'll get back to you all soon with accurate info but if you think you would be interested in owning a physical copy just PM me & let me know, at least that way i'll have a better idea of numbers when searching for price quotes.
The Doc Downloaded and loving it, Cant believe its all free ;-)
brodster After a busy few weeks of exams and work I finally gave the album a listen and I am seriously loving it. A lot of fantastic tunes on there. Great job everyone :)
Ken Masters Cheers guys, glad your enjoying it :)

11 days since release & we've hit 800+ downloads, massive thanks to everyone for your support & helping push the album :)

Please continue to promote it wherever you can & we'll try & reach out to as many people as possible...

What? You want feedback...?

I thought that sort of thing was unfashionable these days.

Surely it's much cooler to take something that others have worked so hard to produce,

that they've given their time and effort to diligently prepare to such exacting standards,

to share with those of kindred spirit to enjoy and

....all for FREE!

Feedback?

This is the present day internet we're talking about Ken. Grab what you can, while you can. :-/

I'm still digesting it and all it's flavours but so far... Well Done. :)

P.S.

Btw, have you calculated the percentage of actual feedback on the music of last years PPF from the 3000ish downloads.....?

Triquatra argh, impossible to decide, was just flicking back through them, all awesome.
djDMS Feedback IS coming, honest!
_Jay_

I WILL get involved with downloading and feedback eventually. I have been basically offline (here and Fcukbook) for a few weeks with work being off the charts.

Proper good work for getting it out on time Ken (and Olly).

Olly, where were you on Friday eh?!

haha! Yeah feedback has been pretty slow on here tbh, although to be fair the site in generals been pretty slow! People must be out enjoying the sunshine, socialising, living life.......sad c**ts! ;)

Although elsewhere, on faceboob etc, the feedbacks been great! It seems like its been really well received , and in many distant lands! Getting a lot of messages full of praise & thanks :)

yeah the power of the social media has been kind to us, building up some real momentum.

Sites like that are a great form of feedback because you can keep an eye on the comments other people get from their friends once they share the album. Its very honest.
Ken Masters Is everyone dead? Haha

Happy birthday mate.

Judging by the state of your post you must have had a good one! :-p
djDMS Random feedback time!

Just picking out tunes as they pop into my head so will come back and edit when i think of more.

Favourite track by a mile is Saving grace. Not just because i love Rowan dearly but the sheer amount of work that must have gone into the track is astounding.

Love the vibe of Runny mourning. Bridges the gap nicely between Freeform & Hardcore

Peace & Love = Trancecore = win!

Supersonic by Firefly - excellently put together

AW & The Ionobitches - Come get some.......on my way boys!
Love what these guys do when they get together.

Ventress - Olly doing what he does best. Keep tearing up that rulebook son!

Lovin' - Can't go wrong with a bit of Sc@r can you? ;-)

Aurora - another big favourite. Good, happy FUN! Daniele doing the business despite his young age :-p

An incredible journey - Incredibly fun and bouncy! (See what i did there).

Off for a round of golf now, will add more later.

Feeeeeeedback!! Haha. Cheers Dean,

There's something about that Peace & Love track, takes things back to simpler times, a type of darkness you don't hear much in hardcore melodies anymore.

JLR insists on recreating those classic sounds using original hardware. Its pretty admirable.

+1 on the remix comp

hopefully i'll be able to make a track to submit not had a lot of time to make much of anything and FL is being a dick and constantly crashing as i get stuck into a tune (usually just before i go to save my progress or if i try and use a vst other than the ones that come with FL)

Definitely another remix competition of one of the last album's tracks. I didn't come close to winning but it was a hell of a lot of fun!

+1 on the remix comp

hopefully i'll be able to make a track to submit not had a lot of time to make much of anything and FL is being a dick and constantly crashing as i get stuck into a tune (usually just before i go to save my progress or if i try and use a vst other than the ones that come with FL)

Definitely, most certainly almost time for another remix comp :)
