Illegaly download?
::Sighs::
So the corporations go to you guys too? Jesus, they're ****ing everywhere...
I'm in a band myself, and we've released 3 cds as of yet. If I knew that people were downloading it online, I would be happy as all hell. I want my music to be spread out and listened to, I dont care about money, I'm not greedy like that.
Music is an art, and art was meant to share with the world, not to share only with those who can afford it.

Yes, the huge giant faceless corporations that produce hardcore music..
I'm guessing you have a source of living income that does not come from money earned by your band. Therefore, your band is more of a hobby, and you don't mind people not paying you. But for others, music is their job, and they do a damn fine job at it, so why not pay them for what they love, and what we love?
There isn't a lot of money to made in hardcore, and everyone stops buying music, producers will have to get a real jobs, and won't be able to fully concentrate on making music to the best of their ability.
Producer 1: "Hey, let's make a new track tonight.."
Producer 2 : "Sorry.. my shift at KFC starts at 7"
Studio time is expensive. Record pressing is expensive. These record labels and producers aren't gonna continually losing all this money for "art". Artist is a career just like any other. And if someone isn't making money from their career, they look elsewhere.
If you want to make music as a hobby, and pay for all the expenses that go along with that, and give it away for free, that's wonderful! But you must understand, not everyone has the luxury of doing that.

I've totally been won over by your arguement, Virus.
*Surreptiously hides downloaded files behind her back*
I, for one, will repent my evil ways =)
