How can you change your stats etc.
It looks pretty feeble/drops my DJ'in credability.coz it shows i've no records etc
& how do you gain a better level as a member,is it by postin loads or do u have to do sumthin else?????

Welcome to the site. To change your stats, go to the "records" link towards the top of the screen. Search by label or artist. Click on the arrow by the track title and a drop down will appear. Click on "add to own list" to put the record on your list.
Your number of posts changes your member ranking.

0-19: Starting Member
20-79: New Member
80-149: Junior Member
150-249: Average Member
250-499: Senior Member
500+: Advanced Member
but remember its quality not quantity
and about ur intoductory thread, theres no need to post a msg in every other thread telling ppl about it. Ppl will find it and ppl will post if they wish to do so.

Actually I thought it was important that someone said what MCDJ did, considering the link between credibility and rankings/points that DJ Affliction made in his original post.
Fact is (and anyone who's been here a while knows this), for most people on this board your credibility has nothing to do with the numbers under your name, but more with how long you've been around and how productively you've spent your time here.
I can name a couple of members who've got the posts and the stars but still have next-to-nil credibility amongst other members because of the way they "earned" those stars, while there are others who are still on "average" status (or very recently just became "seniors") whose perspectives are read and respected at the same level as most of the advanced members, because they've made it a habit to post quality, not quantity.
At the end of the day the stars and numbers do nothing but make your little side-panel thingy look pretty.
