Okay, for $250 I can get 2 different TT Packages... (I'm on a Budget, Ok?) Gemini Decks are sooo Dope (TT02) but If I wanted to go Oldskool I could go with AA... Whatcha'll think? Btw, I hate this Website! =(

I'd recommend to go with at least a direct drive...so of the two I'd have to pick the gemini ones

1) Gemini decks are not dope.
2) American Audio is not old school.
3) If you hate this website don't post here.
4) You will not find 'good' decks for 250$ unless they're used...and even then, they will be "OK" but not "good".
Either save up for "good" decks or buy used "OK" decks (str8-80s, Pt-2000s, TT200s) so that when you sell them to upgrade to tech12s you don't lose too much money.

Dain-Ja doesn't like anything he doesn't own and believes everything he reads :) but he is correct, Gemini and American audio are not good, sure they work but they are not good equipment... sure it's better than nothing but if you want to be serious about DJing you can't use Gemini and AA.
AA is oldskool, but rock music oldskool, oldskool doesn't automatically mean it's good...
I've used nearly everything out there if you want professional input then ask here, 99.9% of the people on myspace would not even know what to recommend and would go via looks vs price.
Not all turntables are the same, just because both have start buttons and play music doesn't mean they are the same... esp if you are into high BPM music like hardcore you need good equipment.
I dont know how God entered the topic, but it's nothing to do with equipment :p

i'm looking into buying a new set of decks soon myself.
i want to cheap out and got for some stanton ones, but then another part of my wants the SL1210 M5Gs.
i know the technics are better, but they are also twice the money.
stanton isn't that bad anyway, they just don't weigh 20 pounds per turntable.
i'm probably not going to buy technics because of their price tag though... (****ing student life...grr)

For straight listening to a record anything is fine including Gemini. If you already know the in's and outs of sl1200's and might be able to adapt to the feel of Gemini's while retaining your sl1200's skills...
