Why do most ppl on here call all hardcore "Happy hardcore"? Especially the new stuff, its more "UK hardcore" than "Happy hardcore". Please Discuss.

when i talk to people i call it hardcore
but if i go into a shop i call it happy hardcore

call it what you want but the name that sticks with ppl's most is the popular one like UK Happy Hard or HappyHardcoreTechno etc..

i call it hardcore, only ever call it uk hardcore when im difining it from other countries.
when i chat to some1 who doesnt really know much about it, then i use the term happy hardcore.
again doesnt really matter wot ppl call it

hardcore' around here usually mean like real hard gabba style happyhard and happyhardcore is a common name i'd rather use

I use the term "Hardcore" as more oldskool from like 1990. Happy Hardcore I call stuff from 1995/96 onwards.

I use the term "hardcore" for all types of "hardcore" whether its happy or not. "Happy hardcore" is for me most the stuff from 94-98ish,then theres a gap in history where hardcore was not neither here nor there. UK Hardcore is most of the new stuff eg Raverbaby or Next gen stuff. Thats how I see it any way...
