I currently have a set of agk k319 earphones which I love, are completely transparent and very refined on details for the price ($50).
Just purchased some klipsch image s4 which are waiting at the post office for me to pick up. Damn easter, can't get it till (hopefully) sat or tues.
In the future i'm looking towards some AT - ATH M50, followed by agk k701 or BD DT880/600 (or both) with a decent amp and dac set up.

I don't believe in buying expensive headphones, i used to have some se-mj5's but i broke them after about a month so i just went to tesco's and bought some skytronic ones for 12, BARGAIN! :-P and tbh, unless you keep them on for anymore that a few minuites, you can't tell the difference!

i have some black sony mdr-500's. they're the smaller, non-lame looking version of the way-too-big silver ones.
being able to wear them out of the house on occasion makes me happy. with the silver ones, that's just not possible.

just bought a pair of technic rpdj1200s to replace my old sonys (sony mdr550). they still work but the padding is flaking off, but I've also used them since 2002 =P

huh? if I AB'd my cheap akg's with the crappy in-ear's that came with my phone, I could tell the difference in seconds. Its that obvious, they are so clear and accurate, especially for the price. Secondly, if you're only going to be listening to music for a few minutes why bother at all?

really really good headphones, nice sound, isolation, and looks beautiful :p
some people said they're not good because too much fragile, but i don't agree with it, just have to take care of them
got mine for more than 1 year, and i'm still happy of them :)

I'm with you with the AKG's. I used to have some sennies (HD202 - cheap) but for slightly less of the price i decided to switch to AKG K44's and they blew the sennies away tbh.
Only qualm i have is that the AKG's are just a bit bright. Otherwise they are ****ing awesome for $50

At home I use my Sennheiser, but in clubs I use my... (don't laugh!) iPod in-ear headphones
Yup, indeed! And they're actually great for it. It complitely isolates the sound from outside (which is really extremely loud) and I see more and more DJ's (Local DJ's but also famous ones from everywhere around the world) who use in-ear headphones.
So one day when I had to play somewhere, I didn't want to take my bag with all my stuff (Also because I had exactly 2 CD's with like 15 tracks on each I think, and since it was a prepared set 2 CD's had everything I needed, it would have been useless to take a whole bag with me), so I took the risk to play with my iPod Headphones, which I have never had done before lol, but was pretty fun and had no probs with them!

what sold me on them was watching one of my friends with his pair shake his head vigorously and they stayed put on his ears. really like how snug they feel

Yeah they have a real snug fit but are great for taking on and off still. One of the reasons I love them so much. perfect DJ headphones IMO.
