So I ride a motorcycle. Honestly, there are few things I have found that can even come close to comparing the thrill and freedom of riding. Not skydiving, surfing, flying. Im guessing base jumping or proper downhill mountain skiing may come close, but I haven't done them yet.
Even when everything goes tits up, as your flying through the air towards the tree you are thinking, shit how much will this cost to repair. When I had a major moment at 120 on a corner I remember thinking, oh crap I just repaired it and got a new helmet ($600), at least I'll get to test this new jacket. Didnt crash that time which is good :) . To give it a comparison I would say its a 2D equivalent of the red bull air races.
this is a vid that kinda shares some of the passions of motorcycling. if anything, its just an excuse to post the song (hint: thread title). It took me two minutes to work out it was actually kinda choreographed (sort of). after that are two of my favourite riding vids. If this can't get your adrenal glands going, then there is just no hope for you.

You're not crazy mate. 
....mind you, riding like that on public roads ain't that good 'cos, imo, other drivers, cyclists, police etc, take the edge of it.
If you want the freedom to really enjoy your bike, do a track day....
