I could'nt believe it when I saw it. Maybe there really will be a revival in the genre. The events are called HAPPY HARDCORE and have nearly all European DJs like DUNE, PAUL ELSTAK, CHARLIE LOWNOISE AND MENTAL THEO, CRITICAL MASS. A lot of hot women too that is nice too see:) Anyways check these links if your curious.

is that MC Irvan in the first video? He was the one who did the MC vocals for Paul Elstak's tunes back in the day. It was proper Hardcore back thej, none of this UKShitecore or 'Nu Style' Gabber that is also shite.

But back then it was watered down and commercialised too. You might like it but it doesn't change that fact.

But have you heard the 'Force DJ Team' Remixes of such tunes? I mean ok, the version of Rainbow in the sky you see in the first vid is the 'Radio Edit' but the Forze Mix is much harder. Paul Elstak used to run the Dutch Hardcore & Gabber scenes & his tunes where hard and stomping. I have a few vinyls of some classics and the Hardcore versions of well known tunes urinate on anything that the mainstream producers of today make.

Think it has never been gone in Holland. When you go out to a club or a bar almost always they play a few happy hardcore songs along the night. There are a lot 90's parties too. It's especially popular among students.

Yes it is. Is kinda almost like a reunion by the looks of it. All the old producers of the day have played there.
I prefer the original sound too smoogie. Back then it was much more original. Hardcore was hardcore. Not spead up Trance, Donk and Electro like these days. And the beats were harder. That's one thing I hope that happens, they harden up the kicks again and get more influences from the Dutch happy era.

Yeah seems to be a mixed crowd of older fans and newer. Just shows it's true the saying, Hardcore will never die. It's all classic that stuff theses days and will probably never stop selling.
