There is no deadline, once it hits the limit it will be released.

Yes? I didnt want to rush producers for something that may not even happen because it didnt get enough tracks

If someone submits a track and its average but good, will you still put it on?
or
Its gotta be at a really good level of production to get on the album..
Hope that helps mate ;)

I don't understand why there's so much confusion about this. Its a pretty simple concept.

This confirms my first impression of the main post. It's exactly as I understood it.
Back on topic, what I find funny is that Bonkers is pretty much setting up a label for zilch and wants to cash in with donations.

Seriously? The donations go directly to the album. I don't use it for anything else. Its used for artwork, sever cost, etc...
I'm not trying to rip anyone off. I don't know why you are trying to make me a negative view for people to look at, but please stop.
I don't rip people off. I give young/new producers/djs a chance to get noticed. If you have a problem with that, go somewhere else.

I sent an email!
Will this start a trend of unmixed 7D albums (alongside the mixed ones), by the way? Because that would be nifty!
Also, just asking, but do you need any help with the album art? *wink wink nudge nudge*

It could start it. Depends on how well this one goes. And I do have someone for artwork this one, but I am needing someone for 7D "Best Of".

I apologize if I offended you. I guess I am venting somewhat my frustation with the state of the scene and music industry in general. What I understood from your main post was that you were waiting for a specific number of tracks to come in so as to put together the compilation. From the look of things, I wasn't the only one with the impression that your intention was to release, regardless of quality. TBH, the amount of music being put out, in general, is just insane. Just as an example, out of the 6 volumes of your "7D" series I've only listened to one mix, mainly because there is a track of mine in it. Something I've been thinking about for a while is how "disposable" music has become nowadays; how days of work can go into a track which might only be played once or twice, and that's the feeling I get everytime I see a new collection of multiple 2-hour-long/30-plus-track mixes. I love hardcore, but atm, I feel out of touch with the scene in terms of roots. It's almost as though nowadays there are no roots. just noise.

Yeah, happy hardcore ruined everything ;p
Even the so called "dubcore" is closer to the old rave roots than the common UK/happy style. Funny, huh?
