Its about the narrow minded pricks who think he doesnt make hardcore and constantly have a go at him for doing what he does. I think thats ****in shit! Hixxy is my opinion is the best DJ the scene has got and he can do without the critisism that he gets for just trying to get along with his life. He makes music that he likes and thinks we'll like too. Whats the harm in that eh??!

Heh, its about Hixxy not being able to take it when people question his tracklisting.
When he posted up on USH with some of the Bonkers 9 tracklist alot of people weren't happy with the Flip n Fill and Kelly Llorena tracks on it. Alot of people said it was far to commercial. Hixxy got pissed off that people dared to question him and had a benny.
I think thats what it was about anyway ;)

To be honest , I can understand some of the criticism about Hixxy , because for example if, you listen to his Bonkers 7 set, it appears to sound more like hard trance than hardcore. It's not totally justified criticism though
But in a interview (i think it was one on this site) he does mention that Hardcore was , in a way getting too big and boring (in his opinion), hard house and trance would take over ( heh, and trance is burning itself out now for sure, because it got too big) so he was probably inspired by hard house and trance.
I would say he was just trying to re-invent hardcore, and do new things with it, and that is what hardcore and every other genre needs now and then, a few new ideas and a touch of creativity to freshen things up. If you listen to any of his newer stuff , you may realise the finished product of his experimentation, is rather good.
So therefore he has very good reason to shout back at his critics.
