Summer Gathering Festival

The Summer Gathering is back in 2017 at our home the Donington Park Woods!
Last year was insane and the most talked about bit by far was the partying in
the woods for the whole weekend! So it makes sense to increase the capacity of
the woods area and chuck in an extra stage for good measure but with an added
twist!! We are also making a few changes to the running times giving you more
raving hours each day. Friday will now be totally exclusive to the weekend
campers and the music will run ALL DAY SATURDAY and ALL DAY SUNDAY! Across the
whole weekend we will be providing a OVER 30 HOURS of MUSIC from some of the
BIGGEST SOUND SYSTEMS available!! PLUS AN EXTRA 15 HOURS of MUSIC when we
reopen up the stages for the Silent Discos just for the ones that don?t wanna
stop partying and wanna continue with the festival vibes?.
Friday 28th July ? Exclusive to Weekend Camping Tickets

4pm: Stages open exclusively to campers
11.30pm: Stages Close
11.30pm - 3am Stages open as Silent Disco
Saturday 29th July ? Over 12 Hours of LOUD MUSIC + 5 Hours of Silent Disco

Ravers Reunion 2 with Hixxy

Get your Kandi at the ready as Stimulate returns this July for Ravers Reunion
part 2!
This time it's UK Hardcore hero, DJ Hixxy who will be headlining
proceedings. After releasing the
hugely popular "Toytown" in 1995, Hixxy became a true pioneer of the Happy
Hardcore sound and
is well known for his live performances across the globe, as well as for his
contributions to the
Bonkers compilation series. In 2001 he helped to shape the genre we know as UK
Hardcore with
his Raver Baby record label, which was a platform for promoting acts such as
Breeze and Styles.
Come and check out this living legend as he performs an exclusive 2 hour set
for the Stimulate
faithful!
Supporting on the night is fellow UK native, MK2, alongside Las Vegas
veterans, Kinekt, Nico
Salazar and Kung Pow.

Original Chicago OG mid-90s jungle original (etc.) Casper should need no introduction. But if you
missed his tape from the legendary 90s Jungle Book tape pack or missed one of the million topnotch
sets he?s played since 1994, then here?s his bio:
He started raving in Chicago in 1992 and fell in love with breakbeat hardcore. Over the years, he
played jungle, atmospheric / soulful drum and bass from 1994 to mid-2000s all over the US. From
1999 to 2003 he also played UK garage / 2-step before it morphed into dubstep. In the Midwest,
Casper is probably best known for his three Jungle Book mixes. He also co-hosted the Strictly Jungle
Chicago radio show on 89.3 FM with Snuggles, Slak, and Ry-N. While at college in Boston, he was
also a resident DJ at Jungle Roots weekly club night with East Coast dnb legends Timestretch,
Overload, and Jason Mouse. In 2000, he produced several tracks with Chris J, including "Mysteries"
which came out on Good Looking Records.
There can be no doubt - Casper is a jungle legend, and he has the records to prove it.

Introduced to the to the breakbeat hardcore rave sound in the summer of 1992 thanks to Chicago's
B96 Lunchtime Mixes, DJ Hyperactive's "Sounds of the Underground" series, and by the Speed Limit
140+ compilations, Matt quickly became hooked on the frantic sped up vocals, racing pianos, and
dark synth stabs of early UK Hardcore. In 1996 the legendary rave scenester and graf artist DJ Phil
Free Art (RIP my friend) inspired Matt to fully commit - and a Midwest happy hardcore DJ was born.
Expect to hear everything about rave music Matt loves: bouncy breakbeat hardcore ragga jungle
darkcore proto-happy ravey awesomeness.
