Run your mixer output into your line in on the back of your tower. Then you can record it as mp3 then burn it onto CD. Try to use a balanced output like the record out.

there are a few diff software programs you can use..personally, i like sound forge..you can record your mix to a wav and then convert it to mp3...

If you are recording to CD don't save as MP3 you lose alot of quaility, record as a wav file much better quailty. I recommend Cool Edit 2000 or sound forge, I use Cool Edit 2000 myself basically because it's real cheap and works real nice.

yeah i agree...if youre making a mix, dont burn the mp3..burn the wav..you can convert the wav to mp3 if you want to have the mix available online or something tho.

did you know that packard bell uses refurbished parts to build their "new" computers? food for thought..... not saying all PB's are bad but I've had freinds that had em and they were complete crap.

and as far as recording.. yah CE2000 or Sound Forge are your best bet. I normally record at a lower volume so that none of it goes in the red and gets distorted, then i up the level manually through the sample editor i use.

cheers!

If you`re sampling from vinyl 4 burning, don`t encode as MP3 then write as CDDA, coz fo what Admin said, you`ll loose quality, so it`s best 2 sample as AIFF or WAVE, then write as CDDA.
