Greetings ravers, misbehavers, sous chefs, icing fanatics, and purveyors of the muffin top. On BANK HOILIDAY WEEKEND 5th May, Escape Northampton, we are very much looking forward to the third installment of Rave Logic on the 5th May Northampton, we really
hope you are too! We want you guys to bring out the crazy for this event. So let?s see everyone?s best efforts as we go through the looking glass, and beyond the pastry crust, to a land of confectionary wonders. Get those custard pies ready, and let?s get

We at Rave Logic pride ourselves on quality of experience. This is why we go all out with the production making every one of our parties a different experience. Each room will be kitted out with high quality sound systems, the main room featuring two massive
stacks. To illuminate your pied eyed faces, there will be UV cannons, and for precision cake slicing two kick ass lasers. Not to meantion entertainers, to offer up some additonal flair, poi spinners, staff spinners, and hoopers.

Rave Logic DJ & MC Competition!
Rave Logic are looking for a DJ/ DJ & MC combo act to play at our future events, not only that but we are also hosting an MC only competition, and any genre is considered as long as it fits with the Rave Logic ethic of getting the dance floor moving
(remember your audience are Ravers).
At the end of the process there will be two winners (one for each competition). The winners of this competition will go on to earn a full set at our next event, and the right candidate will stand an excellent chance at playing at our future events. All sets
on the night will be recorded, and there will be a winners set at the end of the competition. The winners will also be promoted through our Rave Logic pages and sites (Soundcloud, Mixcloud, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter). There will be two rounds for each
competition.....
How it Works:
COMPETITION ONE ---- DJ/DJ & MC.
Round 1: create a 30 minute mix of your act, upload to Soundcloud or to Mixcloud (with a download link in the description) and title it "{insert act name} - Rave Logic DJ Competition" using the event profile picture as the thumbnail for the mix. Then Direct
Message the Rave Logic Page with the link to the mix, before or on the closing date of 31st March. The mixes will then be judged on mixing skill, overall quality, & tune selection, with bonus points for interesting transitions. For mixes with MCs we will
judge in addition to the above criteria, timing, tightness of bars, overall cohesiveness with the music, and knowing when to let the music breath. From all the submissions The Rave Logic Promoters will shortlist 6 acts to move onto the next round. One entry
per artist, and no chances to resubmit, once it is in, it is in!
Round 2: if you are shortlisted you will be invited to present your act live at Rave Logic's next event on the 5th May in Northampton (so make sure you are available to attend before entering round one). You will be given a 20 minute slot to shine. Each act
will be judged by Rave Logic's Stylee G, who is looking for crowd reaction in addition to the criteria already described in round one. The competition will be held at a prime time in Room Two to maximise your chance of impressing a crowd.
COMPETITION TWO ---- MC ONLY
Round 1: much like the DJ / DJ & MC rules for round 1 above each MC competition entry will need to enter a 30 minute mix, upload to Soundcloud (making the mix downloadable) or to Mixcloud (with a download link in the description), using the event profile
picture as the thumbnail. MC entrants will need to provide a backing track, this can be an existing mix, or something they compile themselves. If you get a DJ to make a mix for you, please consider entering competition one together. Winners will be selected
and be progressed to round 2 by MC Stylee G, plus the Rave Logic promoters who will be looking for style and control, timing, lyrics, uniqueness, crowd reaction, and connectivity. Entrants will need to submit before 31st March to be considered for Round 2.
One entry per artist, and no chances to resubmit, once it is in, it is in!

So get practicing, get recording, get uploading, get sharing, and if you are lucky enough to go through to round 2 - bring your mates for a quality experience at Rave Logic.

This sounds like a great night! I'm away with The Wife for her birthday. Definitely would have made the effort otherwise.
Hope it goes well, Paul! And hope you enjoyed Leeds a few weeks ago! :)
