Can anybody give me some pointers on using this or lead me in the direction of some guides/manuals?

when you purchased reason, it should include a full manual and a tutorial cd, it explains everything

I don't really get along with manuals lol i prefer word of mouth tuition

To be honest, with Reason, as long as you know the basics u shud be ok. After an hour playing on it you'll love it! I hate the cheesy porn track demo it has at the start thow! God, its painfull!
But have a read of the manual to get started and then after an hour or so you'll have it sussed! I love it. Got a good few tunes using it!

Cheesy pr0n track!? When I started up reason for the first time I heard smooth R&B with a nice rhodes emulation; I donno what you're talkin' about.

I hate that cheesy pr0n track. Its not RnB, there are no chicks whining about how they are independent, and how you don't love them, etc.....
