Hi all i was wondering if any of you knew any cheap sites to buy dj eqquitment everything i need to mic and make my own tubes, ive never used decks or nothing i just love the music to musch so i wanna be one, so please can ya hook me up with some links to djing tips n trick sites n cheap equitment stores, cheers!..

www.djkit.co.uk www.decks.co.uk are 2 pretty cheap stores ,if you wanna make your own tunes check out fruityloops (www.fruityloops.net),cubase(www.cubas.enet) and reason(www.proppelerheads.se) i think
search on google for djing tips n tricks etc..

Also, check out www.djstore.co.uk These guys are one of the cheapest places to buy DJ gear. I bought my old Stanton decks from them. God, they seem so ordinary in comparison to my 1210's now! Rediculous!

There is no store that is actually the cheapest as they all have margins on the equipment that most shops are very flexible on.
All the equipment I have bought over the year or so (4 decks, phones, mixer, fx unit, carts), I managed to get huge discounts off. £100 of each pair of turntables. This is done by getting a quote from one shop then ringing another and seeing if they'll beat it. Do this with enough shops, enough times and you can save loads! All you need is a copy of DJ mag and check the T-Scan section. This is wear all the numbers you need are.
The best shops I have dealt with have been cambridge AV and DJ Store as mentioned above.

You don't use decks to make your own tunes mate so there for you don't need a microphone. Decks are just for mixing music mate

Go to www.ebay.co.uk and get a pair of second hand direct drives - They go from £150 a pair!
