hey,maybe you could create an mp3 section.....like single of the month club or something along those lines

just curious as to your comments on mp3's being frowned upon on this site site...
If they are, why??
I can understand how hosting files can become trouble when u consider bandwitdh and host traffic limits, but i think linking to ppls tunes would be good, coz dj's who want to produce, can actually get feedback on their work...

i can answer that one i think.
unsigned artist's mp3's are a cool idea to get their name recognised and stuff.
but mp3's of tracks that are already out on vinyl,cd etc isn't gonna make anything better,it's mp3's that kill off the record sales and all that,plus it's stealing in a sense coz profits go down from all the piracy from mp3's

i know where ur comin from mate...
hmm.. what i do myself, is post up one mp3 at a time on my site...
i throw up a post on whatever board im on, usually www.cdcopyworld.net and rm1x.co.uk and then after a couple of weeks, i take it off...
i guess its up to personal choice, but as the Happyhard genre (and quite alot of others) use alot of samples, i agree, copyright can become an issue...
Especially if a track is using a sample without the publishers permission.
See personally it would only work if the track being posted wasnt released, anything for feedback and contructive criticism would prolly be beneficial...
But then again, you get your sample happy producer who already has a record deal, rips your beat or chord, uses it and makes money from it, only coz hes already made a name for himself and is already in a position to release....
So you lose out coz your too slow, and this guy gets the credit for something he stole...
god im rambling now.. but you know what i mean, and i know what you mean, so its all good!!

now that must hurt,getting ideas stolen from you by other ppl
if i had tunes out then i wouldn't mind my tunes getting spread about as mp3,coz i wouldn't be in it for the money
if someone steals my idea though,then i'd be mad

yeah, its not the best feeling :(
but now the way i program my tracks, is that theres really not much to sample, coz its usually layered with something else, so its really hard to get anything from it...
Its a shame that im having to do this, but hey, its the ony way i can be heard without fear...
