aye its a phase for most of them and they grow out of it when they leave school but some keep at it and get into other styles through raves.
then some people just like commercial hardcore and wont ever grow out of it, cant really say there wrong just cos we like different stuff.
yeah i agree on that point... its just i love the way these rockers all think hardcore is rock lol... then mock the real genre hardcore lol... its like "i fort hardcore was rock" lol... where as this is only a type and tecnicaly not a genre...

yeah too right :P i think we've all been trow a rock phase sometime in life lol... i used to love my metal back in the day...
but the new stuff in the rock world like "emo" is beyond a JOKE!!!
this is what you would call a trend... i mean most people that dress like it... say they ent it... and get offened when you call them emo... yet... how do you think the real emos (the ones that really do follow it) feel about them ****ers robing there trademark lol...
its there own damb fualt for being sterotyped and called emo... i personally myself sterotype them on perpuse... cuse however much i ent into the emo culture and however much i hate it myself... i still will always respect any culture... BUT HATE TRENDS!!! this is why i sterptype them on purpose... try and get the messege across... cuse no dowt they will get fed up of getting it called by almost the whole planet... so mabie the't move on to something else and **** that up tooo! lol
these days tho... i can't really stand any new rock... its just not me anymore... i was brote up and never really folowwed any music mainstream intill i became a raver... rock was just me being a nob... liking what i liked but not following it lol

hardcore punk has been around for longer than hardcore dance music.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcore_punk bands like black flag, bad brains and minor threat started hardcore music in the early 1980's. It is also connected with straight edge. I'm not saying its better, I used to listen to hardcore punk but i prefer hardcore (although they both have the same sort of energy). Plus i'm not exactly straight edge.

there called sub genres!!!

1. so why slap HARDCORE!!!! (witch is a rave scene!) on an album thats ment to be a "club scene!!!"
2. this is another reason (one of many it seams) why club is complete crap!!!
come to think of it... what if hardcore now gets "sterotyped" as CLUBMUSIC!!!
3. jesus crist!!!! have you herd half the club music out there... ITS SHITE!!!!
1. 'Hardcore' isnt a rave scene. Its a music genre broken up into even smaller sub genres.
2. Who cares, shut up and get over it. If its someone "new" to the scene, Id say its called "hardcore". If its someone "old" to the scene, im sure they wouldnt called it 'club music' anyways....
3. You just totally blew your argument outtta the water. You calling Club music 'club music' when EVERY SINGLE CLUB on this planet plays different genres of music on any given night is kinda a vague assessment dont you think?
Gee, you didnt copy me or anything did you?? You have to be the dumbest motherphucker alive. First, you dont know what the hell your talking about, THEN you go off on a newbie for saying the SAME EXACT shit you just said a couple days ago.
You totally bit off what i said to make it seem like youve been in the 'hardcore loop' for a long time. What a douche you are. Seriously. You know shit about hardcore and it looks more and more like it with each post you make.
Two days ago Hardcore was a 'rave scene' (your dumbass words) Then all of a sudden this newbie comes along and you change your words around?

good 'ol forum bashing between members
nice to see this place hasen't changed
thanks to the world wide web people like Sk8SiM will always be around to amuse the rest of us.
and get over it.
this topic has been argued about so much.
who cares what its called. If it sounds good people will like it and will eventually learn more about it to only discover there is alot more to hardcore. If what hixxy and his crew do get more people into the "hardcore" scene then all the respect I can give goes out to them. Just cuz you don't like their particular sound don't anal bash it and call it shit.
.... talking about this takes me back :)

Agreed.
However, there is such a thing as fully appreciating something before becoming qualified to judge, particularly something with a pedigree as long, as complex and varied as Rock,
and a passing fad of youth just don't cut it.
