And

It's insanely similar :P
Same key, same form, same buildup, same general melody.

So anyways, if you guys know any really similar songs, post em!

Wow, that one's really similar too.
They even have some matching lyrics :P

Actually think I like the latter better!
Gonna buy it off ITunes when I get a chance :)

also, i could only assume that the similarity between milo and orbit1 stem from the fact that they had done work together in the past.

I would assume that Milo track is generally newer, since Jitter has been on AWF for a while. I wouldn't know as it seems Hardcore loves to leave songs gathering metaphoric dust on hard drives.

Heres two more songs with similarities.

And

Doesn't seem similar at first, but listen to the main melody.
Same rhythm, same notes, just a different tempo.

You got another one. Is this a competition? Because if it was. I'd totally lose.

Keep in mind the broad use of sampling in this genre...

Eh? When did I say it was a competition, or anything negative of the sort? It's just a few similarities I pointed out for fun. I'm not saying everyones ripping off everyone.

this is probably you're age showing right here, but the main melody is originally from a Sonic the Hedgehog game. I think it's this one

earliest use of that melody afaik is here:

I first heard it in the Matt Darey remix, which came out around 1999:

as far as hardcore goes, it was in this track back in 2000, not sure if it's the first ever use of that melody in hardcore (it's been a bit sped up in the video):

and here's one from last year by s3rl & auscore

Yeah, you're probably right. I've never been much into video games, nor sonic :P

The chord progression is also one of the most common ones.

Other than that, Dougal & Gammer's Two Turntables is pretty similar to Scott Brown's Lost Generation. Last chord in the progression differs, though.
