Just got my bonkers, and Hixxy wins. His mix blew me away, what really did it for me was 24-7. It's the most amazing track I have given my ears the privlage of hearing all year! I was in a way shocked on how kinda bad scotts mix is.Why can't he use the whole song...or at least more then a minute or two of it...It's good, average, OK, whatever you want to say it's just that. Sharkeys was very EH....Ima keep this short and sweet and say Hixxys wins my vote of best cd in Bonkers XI.

I agree that Hixxys mix is the best on Bonkers 11. I also agree that Scott Brown's mix was extremely disappointing.

The tunes are quality, but I just cant understand why they arent played in full. Think about it, I record a mix for HappyHardcore.Com radio, play 11 maybe 12 tracks in an hour long set. Scott Brown decides to play 19 tracks, (an extra 7) and his mix isnt even an hour long. Why? Can sum1 answer this question? I dont even think react can.

It makes what would have been a great mix a decent mix and a great shame. I dont think it was Scotts fault either! I feel for the guy I really do!

Personally I think it doesn't matter if he chucks in 19 tracks in less than an hour. Almost all Scott style tunes basically repeat themselves (the double intro-breakdown-climax structure) so the way I see it, he's saved you most of the boredom and he's given you more value for money.

I didn't think Sharkey's mix was as well-programmed as his last one (probably the best flowing mix of his since Bonkers 3) but for me it still rocks the hell out of Hixxy's mix. Haven't listened to Scott's yet but all I've been hearing is poor reviews for it. 24-7 is very nice track though, I definitely see myself picking that one up. I'm confused as to why Ham decided to list in under Eclipse's name rather than his own seeing as he wrote the track. As much as I love the work Eclipse did in the past, Ham's been churning out near anthems for years and still continues to do so. Hell, I think Ham should take Scott's place for the next Bonkers, that would be a mix!

So I could play more in that time, and the FULL song...

Have to disagree with Apollo here, usually I am all about praising Hixxy's mix (as is usually me fave) but with bonkers xi I was well disappointed, Scott Brown's remix had a track listing I far preferred (and I agree that having shorter more varied tracks is good).

wow, i was about to say that they all did a really good set - but listening back over it, im gonna have to agree that hixxy did do the best mix (even though ome songs we're a tad repetative and cheesey - though i loved "brisk and ham - sounds legit" on sharkeys mix and "scott brown - fly with you" on scotts mix...i wonder what happened

"bring the hardest paddle you can find, and get ready to be spanked, you dirty dirty pigs.....yes yes?"

Hixxy's was pretty good, IMO the first tune is the best on the whole cd, but
some of the tunes were boring, like Feeling Fine

Sharkey's was good, was lil dissapointed with the Marc Smith tunes,
coz hes tunes were soooo good on Bonkers 10, although Gravity still did have the cool-marc-smith-sound innit

Was dissapointed with Scott Brown's mix, some of the nu style gabber tunes are ok. I was also very dissapointed with Brisk & Ham - Angel Eyes, stupid me was expecting it to be as good as the Dok one, but it wasnt even close to it...

DaveMurray . . . If u don't like bonkers then maybe ur not meant to be on these forums :P

I don't mind short mixing (another example is original hardcore, sy's mix)
but he could've at least filled up the 74/80 mins worth

ANybody wanna donate some cash to the "Turntables for Gav fund?" ~ If you don't, you could be to blame for the demise of happy hardcore!
