Hey everyone!
Quite a newbie to Happy Hardcore but have a few Bonkers cds inc. 5!
Anyway I want to get into the scene much more (can't wait 4 show on Radio 1 l8a) and want another cd! I know there are loads n loads, but any recommendations plz. My initial thoughts were either Hardcore Til I Die or Bonkers 12...

I'd recommend

Bonkers 1 & 2 ( Easy to find in HMV or Virgin )

and by far the best 2 Bonkers CD.

Bonkers 1 & 2 are about as Happy Hardcore as you'll get.
Bonkers 8 is also a good bet.

Try getting a couple of Tape Packs from over the years. Helter Skelters 10 Legendary Years of Hardcore is good. And the last Compulsion at Bowlers was one hell of a night!

Why oh why can't you just accept it! I'm a raver not a f**king drug addict!

Well HTID is very good, and the second one will be released soon. Bonkers 12 will be the next CD that ppl will be talking about. But its not released, so cant really say if its good or not (but i'm going to buy it for sure).

As for other recommendations, it depends on what style you like.
Bonkers have the "big" DJ's playing tunes from the "big" labels, they are all very good.

CD's from Rumour tend to have somekind of "theme".
Theres the Masters Of Hardcore CD, where one CD is mixed by Sy & Unknown and the other one is all Breeze & Styles (Tunes & mixing).
Then theres the Next Generation / Blatant Beats - The Collection v.1, well the name says it all, very good compilation from those 2 labels.
Also Happyhardcore.com presents Hardcore Tsunami is very good :)

If you dont like to hear whole tunes, just the "best" parts, the "Radio Edit" kind of thing, then i would say
Original Hardcore 1, 2 & 3 or Dancemania Speed Presents Best Of Hardcore, those are mixed so that the tunes are short, but have many tunes/CD.

If you want cheap but still very good CD's then these are good:
The Ultimate Hardcore Album
The Ultimate Happy Hardcore Album
Hardcore

Then if you like the "mid 90's" happy hardcore tunes, then i would recommend Happy 2B Hardcore CD serie and Happy Hardcore Best.

For live cd's:
Absolute Hardcore 2
Hardcore Heaven - Live At The Sanctuary
Hardcore Heaven 2 - Reloaded

And if you like something a little bit ruffer, then you might like these 2 Nu Style Gabber cd's,
Hardcore...A New Beginning
Hardcore...The Second Coming

Those should give you a good start

personally id say go for the tape packs. you get a lot more music for a bit more money. plus you get a taste of different styles.

I like the old decadance stuff actually. Not all the tune sare great but they got some really happy bouncey tunes on there that get u buzzin quite nicely... definately worth a look... if u want e mail me and i'll give u some more details and help.

If pac-man really had an effect on us, we'd be runnin' round in dark rooms with repetitive music eating pills!!!
